Very gentrified version of Mexican food. Service was very lackluster. Lady looked like she hated her job. Place is very modern/trendy with chalkboard menus. Rice was surprisingly good but the consistency was like it came out of a rice cooker. Quesadilla was sad. Decent flavor but nothing more than tortilla and cheese. Nachos were okay. For the price I paid for them, the serving was not it 🙅🏾‍♂️ Save your money folks, cook at home or go to an authentic taco truck 👍

I go to Sugar Bones on a weekly basis. It is an exceptional establishment and serves high quality food at a Michelin level. This is the BEST taco and burrito joint I have ever been to. Everything is delicious and the service is always exceptional. I have never had a bad meal from Sugar Bones. Go traditional and get some street tacos, freaking top notch. Branch out and slam a scorcher burrito, delicious. Every protein option is seasoned and prepared to perfection. There isn’t an item on their menu that will disappoint you. Just eat here. Enjoy the atmosphere and thank the two wonderful individuals who brought this Mecca of flavor to Lakewood.

Had a mommy daughter lunch date and we were very happy we gave this place a chance. The Food was delicious and fresh. I ordered 5 asada tacos & my daughter ordered asada nachos. We also had 2 horchatas (bomb btw). The chips from her nachos were super yummy and tasted homemade & fresh. The decor was aesthetically pleasing and unique. The owner was very nice & welcoming. Definitely check this place out.

Excuse the messy food picture of loaded al pastor fries. I was too interested in immediately eating it. This was my first time ordering from them and the food is amazing. It looks to be a local couple running the place, so that bumps them up even more for me.

I've had their esquite before and it's amazing but I recently tried it with hot cheetos on top and the cheetos add a crunch and a little more flavor, would be better if it was the hot cheetos lime flavor or a different flavor of cheetos. I also had the asada fries as is the guacamole could have been better I added ketchup and honey mustard and a little seasoning salt on top before I ate it because without it was a tiny bit bland but the sour cream was alright.

We met the owner coming in for lunch. He was really personable and nice. The food was delicious. Super clean restaurant. Great horchata and there green sauce was well made!! Loaded fries were great a lot of fries perfect amount of everything. Lingua tacos rices and beans excellent. Will come back.

For a Mexican restaurant the atmosphere wasn’t really all there. You walk in and listen to modern English music nothing related to the Mexican heritage. It’s crazy listen to redbone by childish Gambino and artist alike. While expecting more a Hispanic vibe. Furthermore, the server didn’t quite understand the menu. He didn’t even know what was on the menu himself. Located in the heart of Lakewood this is a very white washed Mexican restaurant with a majority of caucasian ethnicity. Coming into the restaurant. DON’T LET the Instagram picture fool you. The food does not live up to the hype. The quesadilla has no type of flavor and neither does the bean and rice. I ordered a carnitas quesadilla plate and it was the most bland tasting quesadilla I’ve ever had in my life. For 31 dollars for two plates you sure do get ripped off.

Great experience, the tacos and chicken quesadilla were delicious great flavor. The two gentlemen that I saw running the place were super friendly. We will be back, definitely. Loved the decorations! They also give military discount with ID, that is AWESOME!
