Sudbury Court Motel & RV Park - Motel in Marengo - 2211 Hwy 6 Trail, USA

Stayed at the RV park for a couple of nights. Park is small, nice and quaint. Downside was the 50 Amp outlet kept going out. When office was approached, they didn't seem concerned at all - pretty much an "oh well" mentality. Didn't offer compensation or an apology of any sort. WIFI was a constant issue as well. Which at the end of the day, although disappointing it had a super nice little bowling alley across the street "lucky 6". Food was good and staff were all amazing!

This is a very nice combination classic motel and small campground. It is the ONLY of either in Monrego. The owner/operator lives on property. The gal who checked me in was of Indian (as in the country) descent and barely knew spoken English, but was nice and polite. I stayed for just one night due to walking from Carolville (a good 26-mile walk), it getting too dark, and I was not able to get an Uber back. I tried repeatedly to get an Uber to no avail, so I would not depend on getting one in Monrego. I stayed in Room 15. It was nice and clean. This is a genuine 50's/60's highway hotel, and if you are into that, I would recommend this place. There is a small campground behind it, and it seems nice as well. Some pull-throughs, back-ins, and tent campsites.

These owners are the worst. We stayed for two days we asked to get fresh towels as the ones we had were soiled from using them already. They informed us that they don't do that.? Duh. Likewise, my wife and I couldn't get a spare key and when we had to get into our room they were going to charge us to let us in our room. This by far is the WORST HOTEL EVER. DONT STAY HERE.

Gross gross gross. Rooms are old and disgusting. Stayed because of a dog event near by. Even though I noted having two dogs with me on my reservation when I checked in, the owner found out and he told the person checking me in to switch me to a different room in a dungeon type area. I have never stayed in such an awful hotel/motel. Yes I have dogs, but they are well trained, well behaved, and aren’t stinky smelling heavy shedding dogs. We slept there for a few hours and would leave. We barely used the room. I would rather sleep in my car than stay at this place again. ZERO STARS!!!!!

I stayed here for a week. Lovely older place. Great porch with bench. I loved sitting outside watching the wind turbines and traffic. Large room, nice grounds, friendly help and owners. Dell, person who checked me in and gave me ideas on things to do, was so kind and helpful. Great area to walk my dog. If I am going through this area again I would stay here.

I liked this location. Went here for a dog show, and enjoyed being in this rural setting. Rooms were clean with simple amenities, but perfect for coming back after a long day and going to sleep. Nothing fancy here, but quiet even being along the roadside.

Whether you are in transit on I-80 or coming to The Amana Colonies for a stay, Sudbury Court is a great place to stay. It's well worth driving a few mile north of I-80 for a quiet and peaceful nights sleep and the beautiful scenery of Amana to walke up to. The rooms are not fancy but are always clean. I've stayed there multiple times over the past decade and have always found the owners/managers very friendly and helpful. This year I found new owners and they are even better. You are treated as returning friends. They went way beyond when I forgot my prescription progressive bifocal glasses in my room. A month later they still had them and took the time to send them to my home and would not take anything as a "Thank You". They deserve your patronage and you will not be disappointed. Tell them "Thank You' again from me.

The rooms with king-sized beds are spacious and have a small refrigerator. They are also fairly clean, but need to be updated. The new owners seemed nice. ||||We stayed here for five days. The first two days there was no cleaning service. When I asked at the office late afternoon on the second day when they were going to clean my room, the owners said that for longer stays, they only come every third day upon which I said that I would like to have my room cleaned daily. After that they did come daily, but only made the bed and emptied the trash.
