Suburban Studios Louisville East - Extended stay hotel in Louisville - 9801 Bunsen Way, USA

I enjoy staying here at Suburban Studio it's clean and affordable. It's in a quiet area of town everything you may need is close by as a traveling nurse these things are very important to me. The staff is great very friendly and accommodating. I would suggest to all my fellow traveling nurses to stay here you will not regret it.

Great value for an extended stay without the normal nonsense you usually see at extended stays - especially when it comes to guests. It is quiet and the location is great. Staff is friendly and willing to accommodate. Much better than other Choice brand hotels I have stayed at.

I would never book here again, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. I booked this place because it was cheap, had a kitchen, and allowed dogs. Since I was staying for a week and had my dog with me, I thought this would be perfect to save some money with the price and to be able to cook while I'm there instead of eating out everyday. However, the room had no pots, no pans, and no silverware. What's the point of having a kitchen in my hotel room if I have to bring all the cookware??? The room was nasty. There were ants in the room. There was some woman hair in the bathroom, and it's not mine as I am a man. The bathroom sink would not drain properly. The desk looks like it's about to break, and the so-called "breakfast" is just coffee. I told the person working the front desk, and they told me I should have said something and they would have switched my rooms. To me, that sounds like they were shifting the blame on me for my poor stay. I called the day I checked-in because I would be arriving earlier than check-in time. I wanted to verify if my room was available if I arrived early. I was assured that my room was ready. Once I saw the state of my "ready room", why would I expect any of the other rooms to be different??? I had an emergency and had to check out a day early. Could or would not give a refund or even a partial refund for the last night. OK, I guess as I originally was planning to stay that night anyways. However, when I asked about at least the pet charge being refunded for the night as it is charged per night the pet is there, I was told that the have to check with the manager, and it might not be refunded. I will call on Monday if I do not hear back from them. Update: I was called back and was refunded for my final night. I prefer if this was done beforehand when I was checking out, but I think it was done in response to my review. I appreciate that it was taken care of. I updated my review from 1 to 2 stars and updated the service from 1 to 3 as they did refund me. Please do better.

The GM here Khaled is one of the best mangers I’ve met working/staying in hotels and he shows a great level of respect and kindness towards guests. He helped me through a very difficult time while staying at suburban and did everything he could to help me through. I choose to stay here because of the staff and the kindness they have shown me from day one. This is the only place I feel comfortable staying and want to stay in this area.

Stayed here on a solo vacation because it was cheap. The facility is pretty dated in basically every aspect, but my room was clean and the bed was comfortable. AC was cold how I like it. No bugs or strange stains, solid bathrooms. Only gripe was the gross old carpet. Anyways, I'd probably stay here again. Note: no elevators or handicap access as far as I could tell.

Well its like everyone else said. Dated, but more like 1975 or 1980. Grungy, like it just needs new carpeting everywhere. But the beds were comfortable enough. So there is NO pool. It's been filled in. Not sure why they still have a photo of it. Zero coffee maker, utensils, pots or any items in the room. No dish soap, nothing. And very loud AC. Meh.

Positive: Liked the kitchenet. Able to do some cooking. Staff friendly. Room placement on 1st floor. Yeah!! Thank you staff. Negative: The side door on right side mechanism malfunctioned couldn't get in with some of my stuff after 3 tries. Had to get hotel staff and they saw the problem Had to use a rock to prop door open to make sure able to get in and out. Light bulb out in a lamp. Negative: ""

The room wasn't quite as clean as we would have hoped for the price. We have stayed at other locations that were way better. But still, was very quiet and nothing to really complain about.
