Studio 6 Texas City, TX - Extended stay hotel in Texas City - 902 N Hwy 146, USA

This has to be one of the worst places that I stayed in ever and I travel like four times a year and I’m 66 years old. We get to the room. We are a little early we ask can we check in? We were told yes, yay! We get to the room when we walk in. It looks like a bunch of bullet holes on the wall, but as we get closer it was cigarette burn in the wall, and the ceiling at least 10 of them. The bathtub was dirty. The walls were dirty. The doors, The air conditioning was dirty. The floor was moist and slippery and dirty. In the middle of the ceiling fire alarm was supposed to be it had wires hanging down and no fire alarm. it was things on the wall that had been pulled out and not patched or There Beer bottles been broken in the parking, lot trash outside in the parking lot. The facility could be really great nice refrigerator, nice and roomy but not manage very well at all. I did call their corporate office and put in the complaint they told me someone will call me within five days , of course no one has called me this last weekend . I called the front desk to let him know about the room. He told me he couldn’t move. I got off the phone went down to the front office and showed him all the pictures and asked to be moved. He told me he didn’t have anything right now come back in a couple of hours. We came back in a couple hours. Room wasn’t ready right then, but it was there after. He put us in another room the room better, but the toilet seat was missing the top of the toilet seat in the toilet. The round thing you sit on was held together by things that look like twist ties , (go by a toilet seat) unto check out we asked for a receipt Ahmad refused to give me a receipt because he don’t want to use his paper to print, I called the corporate office and I was able to get a receipt before that complaint with the corporate office . One more thing we got into our new room and we left for the evening, but we had already asked that no one going our room when we got back someone had been in our room and I knew why cause I took the trash bag that was clean in there and took it out for dirty clothes, but when I got back, there was a new trash bag in there , But my room hadn’t been touched the bed had not been made but my sheet thrown over their their sheets but didn’t do anything else in the room and then I had to argue with the front desk lady on why someone had need in my room.

We were at this location during the incoming of Tropical Storm Beryl when we lost power which is still out as of today. We had just bought groceries of frozen microwave able items but since the power started off till the next day we have no way to fix anything to eat and the Manager told my Son it would not be one for awhile. Therefore we had No dinner last night or anything today to eat since it's still out .That was lost of money and nothing for us to eat for now another day. That's SAD! We should have been offered another night For Free, but wasn't.

We were looking for a hotel to stay at close to Galveston so we could work the Annual Corvette Show at the convention center as a vendor. Everything was so expensive in town so we decided to look at Texas City and found this studio 6 to be reasonably priced. The pictures online are completely lying and the rooms are not nice and the fridge we had was super old and smelled like an old garage fridge. I had so much anxiety while staying there with my son for two nights. The pillows were so flat and had small lumps. There was a cigarette burn in the shower curtain. The tub and the one sink did not drain water when using them. I found a very fast and alive cockroach in MY PURSE while looking for my keys on the last morning there. The towels were so small and smelled weird. There was a hint of a smoke smell. the tile in the bathroom was broken and there was so much garbage and junk in the cracks and it was disgusting. We couldn't get the tv to work the entire time we were there. The room was so humid that everything felt extremely wet, even our clothes we were wearing. There was a HUGE gap in the door leading to the outside even when locked and you could see the outside through it. The AC kept kicking in and out and not blowing hard enough. We were so disgusted by everything that my son and I didn't even shower and tried not to be in the room except to sleep and leave. It was not a fun experience and I felt like even if I complained that there would be no better situation or room to go to so we just dealt with it.

Easy access of the highway. Front desk staff are borderline rude and don’t have a grasp of the English language. The door in our room had a large crack on the knob side from the knob to the floor letting light and sound from outside. Tile was incomplete in the bathroom, the refrigerator was leaking water. we were also refused to goce extra towels. i was w my wife and 2 teenage kids, 4 thin towels wont work.

Don't do it!! Worst experience ever. Original reservation was for one night (March 15). Plans changed so we could arrive a day early. Called hotel and he told me to "do it online" which I did. Upon arrival March 14, he told us we would have to check out at 10 and not check back in until 3 or pay late checkout fees and check out at Noon but still not allowed back until 3. We canceled the second night because if we had to check out/back in, we would do so at a better place! First room 311 was not cleaned from previous occupant -- beds a mess and trash all over plus reeked of smoke. Went back downstairs and demanded a different room He put us in room next to original room. He didn't believe us about first room and even rode back up in the elevator with us to see. Shower in room 309 was dirty and we ran hot water before we got in. Oh, and even though he said he was canceling the second night, he didn't. I did it myself through the Motel 6 app.

This hotel is very cheap compared to others in area!! U don't need a credit card either. But u get what u pay for that's for sure!!! For 111.70 the room was dirty, smelly , old, food in microwave , restroom smelled so bad. 109. Neighbors blaring loud music from 12-4 am complained all night while the lady at front desk didn't do anything . They have hug computer screen and camera behind desk. I know she sat behind and seen it all while these ppl drank and disturbed my sleep and many other!!! Stay away from hotel it's not worth it!!! Especially if ur here for business it's gross I will never come back!!! And I will post on social media about the stay

The service was great. The room was nice but I saw several critters running around😳😬 the pool was nice and open til 11pm

I think drugs are being sold here. People's arguing in the parking lot. All race of colors in and out this one room. I stayed up all night. Could find another place.Night morning 6am I headed to Galveston .
