Studio 6 Mcallen, TX - Extended stay hotel in McAllen - 700 Savannah Ave, USA

I made a reservation at this property through Expedia which I needed to change while I was staying here. I wanted to shorten my stay but Expedia didn't want to refund my money. The assistant manager, Joel, went to bat for me. He pursued Expedia after calling his own corporate headquarters and was finally able to make Expedia refund the unused portion of my original reservation. It amounted to over $500. Needless to say, I am most appreciative to him for his efforts on my behalf. Joel has set the bar for customer service. Rarely do people do this in the day and age we live in. Much thanks to Joel and the other staff who are cordial, helpful and willing to serve!

This hotel was the bomb. I love it really clean it have Everything the i need it I recommend this hotel to anybody.👌

Unacceptable! The last 20 minutes, ive called front office to see if any rooms were available. Around 9 pm on 8/12, and the front desk is too lazy to answer. Called like 10 times within 20 minutes since the location was closest to me. Never Again!!

Great staff. General manager (Elizabeth) is doing a wonderful job. Rooms come with fully furnished kitchenette, and it close by to restaurants and the mall is super close. Clean rooms. Thank you Studio 6 I will be coming back.

First issue I had was when I got to the room it was dirty. I had to request a broom and some towels to clean the room, plus the fridge because they didn't have anyone to do it. As I was sleeping I noticed dead roaches throughout the room and under the cabinet. Second there was shaved hair in the shower and long hair on the toilet seat and pillow cases. There were never any extra towels to shower with or pillows to use when i would ask. The pillows were SO FLAT I woke up with a crook in my neck every night. I checked in Sunday and by Thursday night I was ready to go. I called downstairs and Anthony said I would be able to get the remainder of my money back he couldn't do it right then because the computers were messed up, but I called this morning to get checked out and Elizabeth said I wouldn't be able to get a refund. Mind you the advertise rate is 46.00 per night but they said that's for a weekly rate, the nightly rate is really 60 or 70 something. When I saw a live roach i called and got another room at a different hotel and left at 330 AM.... it was that bad. I thought they would have refunded me back the money because the room was nasty, but she said she would charge me more for checking out early. You get what you pay for.

Good in general; need to improve room cleanliness, floor was very sticky when we received the room, need to improve bed and pillow comfort, Wi-Fi password was not provided and can not found anywhere, no courtesy shampoo is provided.

For what the price includes, this hotel is a great value (<$60 including tax). The room discounts were deeper for week-long stays. There's a good-sized refrigerator, stove top, and some various utensils. The room is clean. The TV is conveniently on an adjustable mount. The hotel location is convenient. Be aware, this is a value hotel. The rooms are somewhat spartan with white walls and few furnishings. There are plenty of people in various circumstances staying/living at the hotel. On Friday night, it was a little loud from end-of-week celebrations. It felt safe, but was still a touch chaotic and noisy with plenty of hall walkers. If you value saving money over those shortcomings, it's a great deal. If you want a completely silent and exclusive experience, you'll be unhappy and should stay at one of the other hotels close by.

For first time winter texans who had many questions, manager Joel, answered all with enthusiam and professionalism. Our studio apartment was clean an orderlly upon our arrival, and whatever needs we had in the way of utensils, cups,etc... were taken care of by Joel in quick fashion. Our room service was great. They clean up to twice weekly and our house keeping staff has been exceptional. They are centrally located in the valley with easy access to I2 and other main roads. Parking is plentiful, with easy access off the road. The rooms, while a studio apartment, are well designed to maximize space to need. Kitchenettes are very functional even though it does not have an oven. The 2 burner cooktop, and microwave met our needs. The refrigerator/freezer is plenty large for weekly needs. The prices are VERY AFFORABLE for what you get. The pool is a nice add on for those warmer days. You are close to a LOT of places that are a must see in valley.
