This place is beautiful! The rooms are so big. Beautiful full bat and a sitting room with fridge and nespresso. Comfy bed, lots of seating and nice quiet street. Will definitely look them up again when I am passing through. Lots of history, unfortunately it was over 100 degrees so we didn’t get to do much sightseeing. Maybe next time.

Strawberry Hill is a wonderfully restore manor home built in 1792. It is decorated for the for that time period. I was there April 24-25. I had the English basement room each was easily accessible. This is their pet friendly room; I didn't have a pet. Dale and Linda Pitman are your wonderful host. The room came with a small refrig. which the provided bottled water and biscuit bites. Coffee and tea were also provided. There was information on restaurants nearby in Old Town Petersburg that you might find interesting. If you have any questions, Linda can help you out. Petersburg is an old town that at one time was very wealthy. There is a lot of history in the area and nearby. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay at Strawberry Hill

Our stay at Strawberry Hill was amazing! Such a nice Mother’s Day getaway; we weren’t ready to leave. The Inn is absolutely breathtaking. Our rooms & bathroom were spotless. Everything was perfect! Linda’s hospitality was impeccable! We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you again, Linda. You are a true gem, just like Strawberry Hill Inn.

My wife and I stayed here and was blown away on how beautiful it was. I called Linda to book the room and she was super sweet. Everything we needed she was so accommodating. She even helped us pick out a restaurant. If you are looking for a place to feel like your part of history I highly recommend Strawberry Hill. Thank you again!!

Strawberry Bill is a beautiful Inn with historic large suites and lovely property grounds in Petersburg, Virginia. The town itself is not large but has great restaurants and charming small stores. we enjoyed our stay immensely and recommend it to others who want a smaller town experience than Richmond.

Strawberry Hill was the most breathtaking place we visited during our travels. My husband likened it to a mansion because of its stunning beauty and spaciousness. The room was beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. Linda and her husband, the owners of Strawberry Hill, went out of their way by offering to pick us up and drop us off at the train station, which was incredibly helpful as we were traveling to Florida to visit my in-laws and then back home to Massachusetts. They even provided car seats, which was a lifesaver since our rental car was in Florida, and Uber/Lyft don't offer car seats. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay. Linda's kindness and thoughtfulness, like packing us different flavors of scones for our journey home, made us feel like part of their family. We will always treasure their kindness and hospitality.||P.S. I wish there's a place to upload a photo of Linda giving my son a tour of their backyard early in the morning. It's just the sweetest moment.

If I could rate this property with six stars, I would. It is a stunning and beautiful restored home from late 18th- and early 19th-century. The rooms are impeccably decorated in period style, with gorgeous furniture, appointments, and comfortable chairs. I felt like there should be velvet ropes at each room entrance, but we had run of the place! (We were the only guests present during the time we stayed.). Linda was a friendly and helpful host, provided excellent local recommendations, and fed us delicious scones and other treats for breakfast. We look forward to returning.

Did you ever get an invitation to stay at Mount Vernon? No? neither did we; but we have toured GW's home on several occasions and given the choice, we would opt for Strawberry Hill. Strawberry Hill is a hidden gem and Dale and Linda are Southern Hospitality and 60's laid-back lifestyle personified. You will recognize them as perhaps the worker bee in jeans and T-shirt working on the restorations next door/up the street/downtown bar district or the very attractive young lady wearing the straw hat working in the S-berry Hill Garden in the back yard.
