Liked this dog park - fun 'through the tall grass' trails and a huge mowed field for dogs that love to run. There is ample parking, one pavilion, and nice bathrooms. Wear your rubber boots if remotely wet out and if hot, there's not much shade. Please note that the area is not fenced off so keep 'em leashed if they tend to take off on you!
The lacrosse club (limitless LX and Arlington Lacrosse) has been using it for the last couple of months. Thank Marysville for having a field we can use.
The only problem was watch out for dog poop!
Strawberry Fields Athletic Complex is a mixed bag of recreational opportunities, with both highs and lows to consider. The complex offers a range of features, including soccer fields, a dog park, and restrooms, catering to various interests and needs.
During the drier seasons, the soccer fields provide a great space for sports enthusiasts to engage in friendly matches and hone their skills. The presence of a dog park is a boon for pet owners, offering a safe environment for their furry friends to socialize, play, and burn off energy.
However, the complex's walking trails present a challenge, particularly during the winter months. The mention of muddy and underwater paths is a clear indication that the trails are ill-equipped to handle wet conditions. This could be a disappointment for those seeking leisurely walks or jogging opportunities, especially when the weather isn't ideal.
While the complex seems to offer a variety of amenities, it's essential to manage expectations based on the seasonal conditions. The dry seasons are likely the best time to take advantage of the available facilities, such as the soccer fields and dog park. As for the walking trails, it might be best to explore them when weather conditions are more favorable and the ground is less muddy.
In conclusion, Strawberry Fields Athletic Complex has its merits, particularly for soccer enthusiasts and dog owners. However, the challenges posed by the muddy and underwater walking trails during the winter could be a drawback for those seeking a well-rounded outdoor experience. It's worth considering the time of year and the specific activities you're interested in before planning a visit to this complex.
Nice and big dog park. Was here first time and really loved it. My pup loved it too. Just look at her happy face :)
Nice park, fields well maintained. Walking trail is very muddy, hoping it dries up in the summer.
Lots of space for dogs to run and beautiful scenery. Really well maintained.
Nice fields with surrounding greenery. Good area to go for a walk, picnics or a little bird watching. Fields are really flat so it's a good area for frisbee, bocce ball or some other game. When there are no events going on I have never had any issue finding parking.
There is an adjoining for park for our furry friends to stretch and play.
My family joined others from the community with a restoration project by the city. We helped plant a lot of trees. After seeing the trees starting to take off I can't wait to see the area in a few years. Already I have observed several wildlife making the area home.
Soccer fields were nice. But the running trails need to be worked on a lot of ankle turner over there.
