Great cocktails, atmosphere, and service! Their outdoor space is beautiful and perfect for catching up with friends. Food was good but felt a little pricey for what it was.

Solid dinner spot in the neighborhood. Love the kale salad! Service is nice. Outdoor area is very nice too, super cute. Great place if you have a bigger party as well.

This place surpassed my expectations. I brought my parents, one of which is vegetarian (bordering on vegan) and the other eats everything. I'm a pescatarian and as you can imagine, it's hard to go out together but this place accommodated us all and we were all satisfied. First off, the garden seating outside is very pleasant and pretty expansive. Can get buggy so if you're sensitive to that, spray before coming. The hostess (Australian?) was so incredibly nice and was dancing around with the waitressses and maintaining such a light and fun heir to the place the whole time. The drinks were AMAZING - I had to have 2 Mexican radios because they were so good (and deceivingly strong so be careful) All the food was right on the money. We got octopus, shishito peppers, eggplant burger, corn nuts, corn risotto, and duck cavatelli. They were missing an ingredient for my dish but subbed for extra mushrooms and it was still fantastic. The only thing I'd say is that the duck cavatelli was VERY spicy. My dad loves spice but I saw him breaking a sweat eating it. Definitely coming back - especially for HH!!

Really great ambience here and I love the outdoor seating. It's rustic and there's heaters + super spacious. The drinks are a bit overpriced and they literally measure your wine and my glass was barely filled 1/4 way so I don't recommend getting drinks here. The dinner was pretty good and filling. I had the fish and chips. The fish was a bit too oily, I've had fried fish and chips in other places and it's not usually like this. But still overall tasty. The rock shrimp is good as well and I like curry sauce they have with it.

great spot with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and overal ambiance that makes for an easy return. the plates are well composed and approachable for both meat eaters and vegetable peeps. the frozen drinks be hittin, homemade fries are always better, and the chicken was mad juicy with great complimentary things on each dish. would def come back with anyone from my lady to my parents.

great food with a nice, upscale atmosphere. beautiful backyard as well if you're able to grab a table. drinks are the standout though—eclectic and strong. great for a date or to impress.

I have returned to Strangeways several times! The cocktails and mocktails are excellent. The food is always good and the service is great. Some of my favorites are the Rock Shrimp, Espresso Martini, and they once had a Lemongrass Braised Rabbit (no longer on the menu) that I still think about months later. Their oysters are ALWAYS fresh and tasty. Overall a great experience with a wonderful atmosphere.

Strangeways Brooklyn is just as strange as the city. The burger was great. Loved the soft bread and the melted cheddar cheese on top. The egg sandwich was so-so. Perhaps, we were not used to the texture of the egg for it tasted too creamy like flan. The bacon just helps it to taste better. The sour-dough bread was though really good. Their special beer, which was the desert water beers, though, is not as good; tasted like band-aid. The Mexican Radio is bit better with its spice and soothing taste. The atmosphere is nice in bringing in nature; sometimes you forgot that outside is a concrete jungle. The staff and the hostesses are nice and attentive.
