Amazing spot for a quick, steep climb to a pretty view. My three year old was thrilled to feel like he was climbing a mountain and surrounded by gorgeous views of Storm Mountain and others in the canyon. Lots of loose rock and steep edges, so make sure your kid is older or a great listener!
Also a stunning spot for viewing fall foliage.
Super cute and relatively large area! Feels like a hidden gem as you make your way to guardsman pass. There’s a $15 daily fee.. and they have this amazing intimate amphitheater- we saw a wedding happening there. So pretty!
Beautiful park surrounded by majestic mountains. Came here for a wedding ceremony in the amphitheater and it’s the most relaxing yet epic settings ever.
Great space to explore. The sites are great with plenty of space and solid surfaces around the fire pits.
No potable water currently, so make sure you bring enough for people, plus to put out your fire.
Fires have to be out at 9:30 pm and out of the site by 10 pm.
Beautiful area, especially in the fall. Parking can get sparse, and weekends are busy. But worth it.
BBQ areas further into the trails have the grill grate on them. The ones closest to the road don't.
Very clean, has bathrooms as well.
Dog friendly, kid friendly. Though, keep an eye on them as there is a small slow moving river that runs through the campgrounds.
This is an AMAZING place to visit but please be careful! The water is currently very high, cold and fast. It is very dangerous to get too close to the water. Please be safe!
Stopped in to get out of the ocktoberfest traffic. Perfect little park for a family get together. Access to water and beautiful views. Cozy picnic areas. Groups had access to tables, grills, and limited privacy. Volley ball area is available. Reservations should be made. No camping. Keep a good eye on smaller children, as water is everywhere. I'd like to go back with food and a blanket.
This is a great quick stop off and short hike with good views just off the road up the canyon. It is quite rocky and can be slippery when there has been rain or snow recently, but otherwise it is fairly easy to hold onto the rocks and sides of boulders to make your way up to the top of the area to look over the other side. It can be windy and much chillier on the upper slope, and those with unsure feet or balance concerns may want to sit this one out.
The views from the top are a great example of the contrasts throughout the canyon.

Also it is free to come here and have fun.
