Stoneridge on the 8 - Apartment complex in Houston - 6160 East Sam Houston Pkwy N, USA

I wished somebody would’ve wrote this review before I moved in here . DO NOT CONSIDER MOVING HERE , since I got here I been a victim of theft along with other people . The police said these apartments are a drop off spot for stolen vehicles as well as . They took my rims and tires off my work truck , then a few weeks later they stole the licensce plates off of it and caught the guys a week later at gun point , investigator said the guys were wearing full body armor . This just tells me the kind of people that come thru these apartments . Two weeks after that theft they stole my license plates off my personal truck , haven’t heard anything back from them yet . They also tried to steal the truck itself and failed to do so , had to get two garages for my vehicles . 5k later for new wheels The manager here doesn’t care to do anything about it . He had nothing but excuses . This place needs 24/7 security and surveillance . We no longer feel safe here neither do the other tenants after talking to them . There’s been other victims as well . There is a lot going here . I wish somebody would have warned me . And they won’t let my break my lease after all that . After posting this review I received a notice of non renewal for interfering with there business , this tells you all they care about is money not the people . Not like I was going to sign for another year there ! These are bad apartments I would not recommend this place at all . See pictures attached these are just a few that I took of but there was at least 20 that I know of the whole year I was there . Please do not stay here save your money time and peace ! God bless !

I AM HAPPY TO BE OUT THESE APARTMENTS! This place is a shopping mall for thieves. Your vehicle will be stolen, left on bricks, tailgate stolen or your license plates will be stolen. Unfortunately my vehicle was targeted 4 times. Don’t bother bringing your concerns to management he will only make excuses as to why there aren’t working cameras or security. Even police officers have told him he needs to take more precautions for residents and they said he doesn’t care. (I have spoken with police officers after doing police reports for my stolen property) Only way to stay here is if you are willing to pay for a garage, but even when getting a garage just know the gate works half of the time or the remote is damaged from years of reuse. Community gates are almost always broken leaving easy access for thieves. Stoneridge on 8 looks like a nice place to live and with that price tag you would think it’s a good but LOOKS ARE DECEIVING. Leasing agents are nice except probably 1 or 2 of them. Application process is simple and they are extremely nice during this time will then they ask for a review instantly just to get their google review score up but after living there for a 1 year you will more than likely want to change it. Maintenance is great honestly the best part about these apartments - only bad thing is there are normally busy due to short staff but they still manage to come in a timely manner. Remember these are apartments and you will more than likely be in a building with people who smoke weed and it will come through your vents (I have a newborn and hated this because I didn’t like him breathing that in) Ultimately it is your choice to move here this is just based off personal experience and of my former neighbors. I hope this helps you decide because this is all information I wish I would have known prior to living here.

Was helping a coworker look for an apartment and we had the pleasure of speaking with Jennifer. She took her time with us and was very knowledgeable and patient considering my coworker was indecisive with the floorplan he wanted to go with. Needless to say he leased and is very pleased with his decision. Thank you Jennifer for the great job and costumer service you provided us with. He's looking forward to moving in soon!!

I was a resident for 1 year Enjoyed my stay the community is kept really well. The office staff is a sizing and maintenance as well. Since day 1 they have been so helpful specially Jennifer.

Overall Excellent customer experience & leasing advisors I was referred to start a lease but unfortunately I didn’t like the fact my credit needed to be ran in order to be approved when my income was more then 2x the rent , and the one bedroom kitchen model was small not really my type so I’ve decided to keep seeking and find other accommodations that best fit my style of living. Thanks you Stoneridge on the 8 for such excellent service:) hope to lease with y’all soon.

Stoneridge on the 8 was a community that stood out from the many other communities within the area. The area is quiet and beautiful and close to our daily necessities. Jennifer was always professional, attentive and transparent in answering all our questions and concerns and making the moving in process as smooth as possible. So far no problems

Wonderful, quiet, and peaceful, great place to live. Office staff and management are awesome to work with. I always have the best experience when work with Jennifer in the office. She is always professional and ready to help.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Although I’m not a resident here my brother is and his car has been broken into TWICE since he’s moved in 3 months ago. The managers will leave a generic post to anyone mentioning crime instead of actually fixing the problem, hiring security, keeping the gate fixed etc. The gates are ALWAYS broken when I visit and his apartment was filthy when he moved in. They also force you to get Internet from them, and the Internet at the complex does not work. RUN FAST FROM THESE APARTMENTS as they charge too much money to not have appropriate security with the high crime in these apartments.
