We were coming to Boulder for a work trip and everything was so outrageously expensive. I was happy to find this cute cabin. It was clean and comfortable , it’s not luxury which is its charm. Just rustic cabins. The location was beautiful, the upstairs loft was very hot and the fan provided was on its last leg. We luckily had a small portable a/c in our car from a recent camping trip and it worked great. My only suggestion is for late arrivals have a map or written instructions to find the cabin. In the light of day it’s obvious. In the pitch dark and a foreign environment, we couldn’t find it upon arrival. It was confusing and our porch light was off. I wondered around with my phone flashlight, and no one answered the after hours phone listed. Was happy with our stay and value of the rooms. I would stay again possibly returning to go to Rocky Mountain National Park.

We recently had our wedding at Stone Mountain Lodge, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the gorgeous mountain backdrop to the serene ambiance, everything about the setting was perfect. We hosted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on the property, and the guests felt comfortable moving around the space and enjoying the pond, fountain, and duck couple wandering around the property. Ashley, our coordinator, was phenomenal. She was attentive, organized, and went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Her expertise and calm demeanor made the planning process enjoyable and surprisingly stress-free. We couldn't be more grateful for her hard work. We had the pleasure of staying on the property for the weekend, along with about half of our guests. The accommodations were comfortable and inviting. The lodging is relatively basic but clean. We were grateful for dog friendly accommodation for some of the rooms.Despite being located just off the side of the road, the venue felt secluded. The location is also ideal, with Lyons only a 5-minute drive away and Boulder just 30 minutes out. If you're looking for a wedding venue that offers natural beauty, exceptional service, and a truly memorable experience, this is the place to be. We couldn't have asked for a better location to start our new chapter together, and we highly recommend it to anyone searching for a true Colorado wedding venue.

Now that Stone Mountain Lodge has taken our money we can’t get a response from anyone there. I chose Stone Mountain Lodge because I had a wedding to attend in Lyons that afternoon and wanted easy access to the venue. I’d been staying in Estes Park earlier in the trip. Had I known what SML would be like in advance, I would have just stayed in Estes Park. First, the room we were in looked nothing like the photos online. Next, I paid for early check in for the sole purpose of getting ready in time for the wedding. Yet, when I was in the shower (which was the size of a dishwasher), the water unexpectedly shut off for more than 30 minutes. I was left with dirty wet hair and no explanation. After I finally showered, I was behind schedule and needed to do my hair, but there was no mirror near any outlet. So, I had to do my hair for a wedding with my phone camera as a guide. Finally, I saw several bugs in the room. It was unsanitary and not worth even close to what I paid for the room. The water issue during the early check in period for which I paid extra money forced me to rush and I wasn’t fully ready by the time I had to leave for the wedding.

Stayed for 3 nights last week for daughter's wedding. I've read neg reviews. No, it's not a fancy hotel. Think of summer camp, rustic lodge. This place was PERFECT for our family of 55 to stay in one place for 3-4 nights. Rooms were smaller, showers are more primitive, but for the price and location pretty good. Heard only one minor complaint from all the guests. If you want a fancy hotel, please go into town. There are lovely more upscale places to stay. Want a group spot with hanging out by the pool, and picnic tables - outside of the room? Want the 20somethings to be able to hike up a path and watch the shooting stars? Want a place for small children to play with their cousins by the pool? Want a place for a wedding or family reunion? Stay here. As for wedding venue: I cannot say enough positive things!!! It was beautiful! Everyone was so taken with how rustic and gorgeous the venue was. Wedding in front of cliffs with decorated arch, open-air cocktail hour on lawn, tented reception, room for our 100 without any problem. The lodge is what it is. If you booked a room at a rustic lodge thinking it was going to be fancy... Well, that's kind of on you. We loved it there and would gladly do a family reunion there again!

This was so disappointing! I apparently read the wedding venue review which were high rating. After we got here I found the other review and have to concur. There was a window pane with no glass, just covered in plastic. There were 2 dining room chairs and no table! To get the shower to work, you had to pull so hard the shower wall bulged out, the hot water was hit and miss and the shower head was so loose, it looked like it may fall off. The freezer didn’t work. There is so much repair work that needs to be done. (Added a couple pictures-does not look like the web site!) Would highly recommend staying somewhere else! Addendum- there were no information about the facilities, just a key to the cabin. There was no thermostat to regulate the temp (possibly split cabin into 2 and it was on the other side?)

Just spend two nights here for my son’s wedding. The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. This is a wonderful location to relax and enjoy nature. Don’t come here if you’re looking for 5 star concierge accommodations. This is a perfect spot for relaxing with good folks and beautiful scenery. Hope to return soon!

Stayed here with my two teenaged kids. We rented a room in the motel instead of our own cabin. I was really happy with almost everything. My only gripe was the kitchen wares. We booked here because it had a kitchenette and I wanted to save money by not dining out. Despite what the pictures show, there are a lot of problems with the kitchenette that made it almost impossible to use: 1. The oven did not work. It never heated up properly. So, it worked more like a dehydrator than an oven. 2. No toaster!!! That's kind if a no-brainer that a kitchenette would have a toaster! I tried to toast bread using the oven. However, re-read #1 and you'll understand by it was the consistency of hardback. 3. The cookware was sparse! I had a small and medium fry pan and 1 sauce pan to do all my cooking with. The medium fry pan was too small to cook a stalk of asparagus in! 4. I had to request a cookie sheet (which ended up being pointless, per #1), a cab opener, and a broom. Again, super basic things that a kitchenette with a range and oven should have. 5. There are no seats available besides the hide-a-bed. This wasn't a deal breaker, just wish I would have known in advance sonI didn't have to buy bag chairs on vacation. I could have brought mine from home. 6. The grill by the pool is gas and not hooked up to anything.

Stayed here for a friend’s wedding and had a great time. The venue was beautiful and everyone was so accommodating. Would absolutely stay again for a personal vacation.

Beautiful park to have a walk, picnic, dip in the river, even fish. The restoration they did after the 2013 flood is great. Trails go for a few miles and I'm guessing connect to other trails in the area. The art and the little regional gardens th
