The Kennedy Stonehouse Museum is a historic house located in Salt Fork State Park in Guernsey County, Ohio. The house was built in 1837 by Benjamin Kennedy and his family. It is a two-story, stone house with a gable roof. The house is furnished with period furniture and artifacts. The museum is open to the public from May to October. Admission is free. There are two ways to visit the Kennedy Stonehouse Museum. The first way is to hike a loop trail that takes you to the museum. The trail is about 1.5 miles long and is in good condition. The second way to visit the museum is to park closer to the museum. There is a parking lot located near the museum. The Kennedy Stonehouse Museum is a great place to learn about early Ohio history. The house is well-maintained and the exhibits are informative. The museum is also located in a beautiful setting, making it a great place to spend a day outdoors.

This place was pretty cool. I need to read more about the history of it. We were there when no one was there. Beautiful and well kept grounds. Easy drive easy to find. Would love to of been there when it was open.

Glad to finally get to visit it while driving through Salt Fork. The seasonal hours are limited so check out their site prior. The long downhill drive to the cabin is freshly laid gravel and not motorcycle friendly, so wouldn't recommend attempting. We chose to park our bike at the top and walk it in 85°+ temperatures. Luckily the lady who was volunteering there offered to give us a lift back up when we left, which was a lifesaver!!! Worth a visit for some cool history and pictures. Very quiet area and close to the water. Museum self guided tours are free, but accepting cash donations.

This is an amazing landmark. A structure built to stand the test of time. The restoration work is outstanding. There was and older gentleman and young woman there to answer questions and tell the story. If we're ever back in the area we would stop again.

There's a decent hiking trail to walk here or you can even drive here. In this house you will be able to learn about its history with one of their tour guides.

The hours are very limited. The outside of the building and the grounds are very well taken care of. Beautiful place.

I mean, it's neat, but the trail itself needs a lot of work. Big rocks and logs along the way not to mention all the mud that made for a slippery trail. They paved the first 50 feet of it then left the rest to the weather. Also, you might want to build maybe a few pieces of rail on a few parts of the trail that get too close to the lake, and even some steps. Someone could easily fall and get hurt and sue the park
