Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary - Park in Stone Harbor - 11400 3rd Ave, USA

It's a nice place to hike and experience what the jersey shore was like before it was so built up. It's relaxing to sit in the shade and hear the bird's songs. We saw robins,blue Jays,cardinals,and many other birds

None of the paths go through the sanctuary from one end to the other. They are all separate trails but are in/out. A lot of seating. No dogs on paths.

Beautiful serene place. Especially in the off season! Standing there and looking around it's a bit easy to imagine how it was back in the 16- 19th centuries when only the leni-lenape used the area for fishing.

Appears to be a lovely place. Drove from OC NJ to visit. They are closed. Not permanently, but almost. Their hours are extremely limited. Took a pic of the 2017 Schedule. If happen to be here for an hour. Then stop by.

Short, easy trails through woodsy areas . Lots of benches. Stay still and will see and hear a variety of birds, esp during migration. My only sighting of a scarlet tanager was here. For waterfowl and shorebirds, a nice walk to the point .

Lots of shade on the ocean side. Short wide paths that go nowhere. Very overgrown brush in late summer. My short time there I only saw a catbird. Ample benches for contemplating.

Super peaceful here. Paths lead away from the road (but don't cut all the way through) and there are plenty of benches to sit and relax. Nice place to sit and unwind.

Not much of a Bird Sanctuary since most of the birds left the area several years ago but a nice area to observe the still present wildlife. The trails appear longer on the maps but in actuality are shorter than expected. Plenty of benches to sit on. Not much wildlife when I visited. Seems like the City does a nice job of up keeping the area.
