Old west vibe which is the experience. Staff is really friendly. Bar is great!
Hotel needs a little TLC while keeping the old west feel.
Carpet in room was gross. Shower was in a tub with shower curtain. Trip Hazzard for sure! Had a corner room, lots of light and noise from the streets below.
Location can't be beat if you can tolerate the little annoyances.
Authentic, charming, and great location!
In a world of hotel chains commodities, this place stands out and creates a unique experience.
Great lobby area, friendly service and really cool rooms and suites. Old west feeling but very comfortable.
The rooms were really clean and they did a great job freshening them up each day.
We also had a really good meal at the H3 steakhouse right next door.
Such a great location as they are so many places to see and visit within a 5 minute walk.
The only downside was the hotel does not have a gym. But plenty of places to run and walk around nearby.
Wonderful place and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We will be back!
How would you review a place that took 2 hours to deliver your car to you that you had valeted with them? Four of us had dinner at H3 after we gave the car to the Valet that operates for the restaurant and the Stockyards Hotel. After dinner, when we gave our claim check to the valet, he immediately knew that they had misplaced our keys. But, no one told us that. They allowed 4 adults over the age of 70 to stand on the street corner, in the cool evening, for an hour. After the first 20 minutes of waiting, my husband went into the hotel to try to find out where our car was. He was told that it takes a while to bring it from the parking area and it would be there soon. After aother 20 minutes, he went back to check again. He was given the same story. After an hour we all decided to wait inside the hotel lobby rather than on the corner. That's when we found out that they didn't know where our keys were. It turned out that the Valet put the keys in his pocket and took them to his house when he got off work. I won't give you all of the details, but we were not able to enjoy the rest of our evening after dinner with our out of town friends because we couldn't get our car. I was given the hotel manager's card and was told to contact him about what had happened. I sent him, Zach Harper, an email on Monday, Dec. 4th. Since I hadn't heard back from him by Friday, the 8th, I phoned him. He wasn't in, but I spoke to Paul Gallagher. He was aware of the situation and offered a gift certificate to the restaurant. I told him I thought that a night in the hotel would be more appropriate. He said he could take care of that and would discuss it with Zach. Today is Dec. 26th. Have I heard a word from either of them? NO!!! Have I received an apology or a gift certificate to the restaurant or hotel? NO!!
The style of the hotel was perfect for Fort Worth. The valet were excellent, welcoming, and accommodating. The room and all of the hotel was very clean. ||The price is not worth the western experience. I understand the hotel was built in the very early 1900s. But for the price of a suite, I expected at least two free bottles of water, towels that weren’t paper thin, a toilet that didn’t run 24/7 and a sink that would drain. We called maintenance who cleared the sink but it was a temporary fix. There weren’t sheets in the room for the sofa bed but after a call to the front desk, we quickly had what we needed and they came quickly for the sink as well. The shower head was great, but the water stopped and started throughout shower. ||The location is ideal, but for me the location isn’t worth the noise until 2 am. Even my teenage son was frustrated with the constant loud music, motorcycle revving, and yelling from the street. Our suite was on the Exchange side of the building and the hotel provided ear plugs that helped mute the sound. I would assume a room towards the back of the hotel is quieter. ||I really wanted to love our stay at the Stockyards Hotel but felt a little ripped off at $3,000 (including valet, taxes, and one bottle of water) for 3 nights.
Very cool place right in heart of stockyards-- probably been reviewed a illion times. The hotel couldnt get much better-- the rooms could use an update. I'm sure part of charm is the 'old school' but mattress a little meh and toilet is a foot off ground. just think rooms could catch up with rest of property.
The staff was very informative on different venue locations. It was nice to watch all the tourists walking around from our room. It was almost like stepping back in time, complimented with modern conveniences. We highly recommend this place!
The Outlaw Suite was nice size, except the bathroom. It was fun in a Western historical way. BUT, it need work to make it even decent. The shower sprayed the entire bathroom. The foot was flooded and we had to use all the towels to mop it up. Even the toilet paper was drenched. No towel bar in the bathroom. It broke years ago, I would image. The sink would not hold water. There are limited outlets for electronics. The carpet had huge stains. |We did not have noise issues because our room was an inside room. I knew it was old but for the prices, I thought it would be in better shape. |We loved the location and the bar, but checked out a day early with no penalty due to the issue I mentioned. Go somewhere else.
Rooms are old, but well maintained. Very busy outside, so expect some noise. Room has all of the required amenities and very comfortable. Would recommend.

This is the best-value hotel I've stayed at in a while. It looks brand new and it was sparkly clean. The location is very convenient to TCU (we were in town for a basketball game), but also quiet.
Best hotel I've stayed in. Very clean and smelled so good.
Everything was amazing. From the staff, the lobby, room, breakfast....... EVERYTHING! They have a pool and an exercise room that looked really nice, but we didn't use those.

We have stayed in multiple chain during our trip from Texas to Colorado, stayed for 1 night at this hotel and not choosing any other hotel after today. Super clean rooms and decorated elegantly. Every disposable cup was wrapped individually, kudos to
Pretty basic hotel. Good for Cat 1 mattress runs if you're chasing Hyatt status. It's clean and updated enough. Would like to see new smart TVs but it was comfy. Walkable to some restaurants. Free parking.
This was a very nice hotel. The staff was super friendly and it had a very good breakfast with many options. My company booked it for me, so it was quite far away from where I needed to be, but that was my issue, not theirs. Would definitely stay aga
As I complimented the Manager on at check-out time, I rarely give a great review as there are always so many things which are not to my liking but in the case of my wife's and my stay, I could see nothing wrong. All the clerks there went out of their
This is the review I sent them, but no one reached back out:
Checking in, the front desk lady didn't even acknowledge my presence. I didn't get a single hello or a smile. I even said "we got a high floor right? we're excited about a view", and she j
