Ordered online. Said it would be ready at 7:49p. I walked in at 7:40p and it was sitting there already getting cold. Shrimp tempura was ok. I've had much better. Egg roll was ok. Pad Thai chicken was not good. For the price, I expected better food.
We had awful service here and they did nothing for Renae’s birthday after telling them it was her birthday. Pitiful place we won’t be back!!! Looking for another Japanese Steakhouse to go to around Mobile. At least we tried!! Happy Birthday Renae!!!

The reviews on here show Stix as an awesome place. Good reviews and waiting time - everybody must love this place. I can say the chefs are awesome and energetic but the waiters and waitresses lack that enthusiasm; our waiter forgot to put in our order for sushi, which was odd. The food was great, but the yum-yum sauce is definitely a lot sweeter than the kind I'm used to, which was different. Overall this place was clean and decent but I was a little disappointed, compared to other hibachi grills.
Expressed 3 times to hibachi chef how I requested filet steak when I realized he was going to cook mine with someone that wanted well done. He overcooked to well done. Then had the audacity to expect a smile and thank you! Not a very clean restaurant, as well.
There was a 10min wait time. We had no problem with that. The food was fresh and delicious I ordered the hurricane roll and stix fried rice (shrimp) with a volcano brownie. There could have been a few more shrimp in the rice. The servings are very large. I still have a full to-go plate of rice.
Great atmosphere, entertaining hibachi chef, great with kids. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the filet and scallops. Potions were sufficient. Although I don't like when pieces of steak which I feel are my portion are distributed into the plates of others, that always confuses me. Hibachi chefs seem to randomly portion things out. Especially shrimp. It's not like they obviously bring out extra and scatter it around. They sometimes give pieces to customers that didn't order that item. My steak was supposed to be cooked rare (it wasn't, however), so why give pieces of it to people that ordered their steak medium. When the medium cooked steak was distributed, I didn't get any of those pieces.
