We came here for brunch while in the area. The staff was great, however the food was underwhelming and standard. It could have been what we ordered, but it was a standard set of food. The highlight of our experience was the complimentary brunch plate that contained coffee cake (delicious), chicken salad, pita bread, and mixed fruits. The other highlight was the $5 mimosas which is always a good thing for brunch. We may return if in the area, but it would not be a place we'd seek out.
Second time here, for restaurant week’s dinner on a weekend. The pre fixe menu was $35pp with three course: appetizer, entree, and a dessert. Ordered oysters for appetizer, it was great. My friend got steak for entree and it was okay-ish; the fries were overcooked. The dessert was okay as well, as the cake itself was good but the decorative strawberry had a weird taste. Our server was very nice. Since the table was small, he came quite often to take away the finished plates to make room for others. My first time here was for brunch. I would recommend brunch over dinner. Also they offer parking validation to RailYard garage - a nice addition to the meal.
Was my first visit. There was a mixup/miscommunication about who was to serve us so the Manager gave us free appetizers so that was a plus on first impressions which I always look at first impressions. Our server Charvis gave us excellent service and the food was delicious - The sauteed salmon cakes and fried green tomatoes appetizers were delicious and I had the Stir Chop salad. My friends had the shrimp and grits and the Stir Cheeseburger meal. The serving size of the food is unbelievably large. We couldn't finish it all and had to get to go cartons. This is definitely on my "Restaurants To Visit Again" list!
To pregame before a concert at Amos' across the street, we picked Stir based on the menu. The restaurant/bar did not disappoint! The cocktail choices are amazing. I drink wine, which is pretty boring, but my wife is an old fashioned connoisseur . She was thrilled with the drink menu and her choice of beverage. She's on her second old fashioned of the night. For dinner, our kid got shrimp with a side of grits. The grits are great, according to them, but the shrimp was a little too spicy. Still eating it though! I ordered the grilled salmon. I don't like dill or onions, so I got it without those two toppings. No matter, the flavor was still there, although I did add my own salt. The salmon was cooked perfectly, very flaky and delicious. The farro underneath was amazing too, even with the few strands of cooked onions mixed in. Really tasty meal, although not nearly big enough a portion for me. Overall, this place is great. Love the atmosphere, the drink choices are fantastic, and the food is really tasty. My wife now wants Stir's bar with ladder in our house too.
The staff is the best thing about STIR. We had reservations but they were busy. So there was a wait but that happens. The food is just lack luster. We did try it during Queens Feast so maybe that is the problem? I got the Mahi Bowl and it tasted like one of the Lean Cuisine frozen meals. The sweet and sour chicken one to be exact. There was barely any pieces of fish and what was there was mostly fried breading. My wife had the chicken piccata that was just ok. It was way better than mine but that doesn’t say much. They were out of the Spicy Tuna bites which happens. The drinks were good but with so many other choices nearby it’s just not worth it if the food isn’t very good. I give them the extra star for the staff. They were nice and pleasant.
Stir is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant and has a great staff. We sat outside so we could see our beautiful city. We went for brunch. They gave us free appetizers: coffee cake, fruit, hummus, and pita. Coffee was great. Cake was a little dry. Our breakfast was decent. I'd go back.
STIR is my new "go-to" in Charlotte. Their Fried Green Tomatoes are the best I've ever had, and the wedge salad is always on point. I highly recommend everything I have had here. The deviled eggs could be fresher (made same day) as they seemed as maybe they were made the previous day.
Amazing service. This place seems to specialize in seafood. I got the salmon poke bowl. Not the most authentic bowl I’ve had but still tasty. The salmon in it was really tasty though. It was just the other ingredients added that didn’t make it the most authentic.
Tacos 4 Life is a wonderful addition to the Berewick area. The tacos they serve are absolutely delicious, and they offer a wide variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and inviting, creating a great vibe for di
It's small but that's the charm. The food is always awesome. The drinks are great! I had the key lime drink, my husband the blood orange. For food we had the cheese plate, he had the halibut and I had the pork. I probably should have gone lighter,
