Sterling Motel - Motel in Sylmar - 13077 San Fernando Rd, USA

Affordable, but could definitely use some updates and most definitely a good cleaning. It seems like the owner is doing the best he can with what he’s got. Can definitely be grumpy sometimes, but you can tell he cares. Would love the opportunity to help fix up these rooms because it could be amazing.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The staff who work here are lazy, rude, and the service was just awful. The old man at the front office is the absolute worst. Our most recent incident involved him refusing to give us a room just because I had a school I.D. and because he kept assuming we would sneak more people into our room. My older brother, of course, had his I.D. but I'm still 17 and in school, so I haven't had the chance to get my real I.D. We even told him "We're just trying to find a place to stay for the night. We have nowhere else to go." And what was his response? "Not my problem. I don't want problems here. Leave." And then we had to go across town just to find another Motel, and with only 1 bed available. Please, whatever you do, to save you the trouble, don't even come near this place. They should not be earning any kind of profit.

I dont know what this "employee" below my comment is talking about. I got a room here for a weekend to have some alone time and lift weights and this place is by far one of the WORST motels i have come across. The rooms are far from remodeled, the only thing done to the rooms was possibly had cheap wood floors put it that are all warped and cracked from possible water damage. Oh and don't forget about all the open, exposed wire from just about every outlet, fixture. All ths furniture is so badly stained and from 20 years ago. You might aquire some awesome bacterial infection from touching it, trust me, you won't even want to touch it. All the sheets and blankets are stained and burnt and stinky, like rotten cheese that has been thrown your grandma 10 year old meatloaf. Half the rooms dont even have heat, and the ones that do is simply just an outstanding little portable electric heater from 1956. ROACHES!!! Did I mention the infestation of ROACHES the entire place has? Inside, outside in the bed, fridge, etc. This place is falling apart and they do nothing to try to fix it. The owner is soo rude and aggressive. Will tell you one price on the phone and it's all of a sudden more expensive when you get there. And the so called "maid" is always yelling and arguing with somebody. You hear her loud cackling voice all day long. And from talking to other guests there, she helps herself to your belongings when she cleans your room. Oh and let's not forget about the totally mistreaded dog that is kept fenced in all day every day. Id be surprised if he even gets fed every day. I went to say hello and saw an open bleeding soar on his neck. The owner is such a bad person, cheapskate, bigot, racist, ignorant person. Absolutely stay away from here, unless your looking to get some disease or infection. This place seriously needs to be shut down. Save your money, go to the gym instead!

DO NOT RENT HERE NOT WORTH IT! THERES A BUNCH OF OTHER MOTELS ON THE SAME STREET THAT ARE WAY BETTER AND SAME PRICE OR CHEAPER!!!!! Terrible, the man who I'm assuming is the owner is like the Gestapo! An Indian Gestapo but still if people pay to stay there he has no right to be banging on the doors EARLY ON THE MORNING telling you to leave your room so housekeeping can come in! Not only Not leave your room leave the property so some strange woman who is shady at best (bcz what kind of house keeping have you ever heard of knocking on your door asking for a cigarette!) Can come clean your room? Right.

How do craphole hotels like this stay in business? The room was disgusting. Tv was on when we walked in, all the lights were on. It was dirty rundown. I don't get what these owners are thinking renting these places out. We paid $60 because everywhere else was booked and we were dang tired. We didn't even use the sheets we used our own blankets.

For the price and location this wasnt bad at all. I stayed for a couple months when i origanlly checked in planning to stay just for the night and hop on to the next motel the next night and the night after that and after that etc. Was a nice transition from no place to live to an affordable and accommodating roof over my head. All the negative reviews, pay attention to the date it was posted please, almost all are from years ago and it has been given a face lift and full make over since then. Defintely would recommend to anyone (Espically above all other places to choose from in Sylmar or San Fernando Valley areas ).

Chill people and they stay out your business. weather it's a weekend of fun or just traveling. might not be the best but it's well worth the price and the Manager is very friendly thanks for everything Guys I will be visiting again soon...

#1 Place to Rest and No One Bothers You Here. Very calm and relaxing good prices. Very Peaceful ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Outstanding Kitchens are available.☆☆☆☆ Best View in the Mornings.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ And if you go to the mountains and wait for the sunset it's an amazing view as well.☆☆☆
