Stephen's Dive Bar - Live music bar in Terre Haute - 2330 S 13th St, USA

I’ve been quiet for a long time but since I don’t live or work there anymore I feel it’s safe to speak up. I used to play for the owner in all of his bars and bit my tongue every time I saw him become verbally abusive with employees and being inappropriate with young women. One time when we were playing there, a woman fell and hurt herself so we stop playing music while we were waiting for paramedics so that they could navigate the venue properly. But the owner disagreed and did so by screaming at the entire band in front of all the customers about how unprofessional we are. I can only imagine what the response would’ve been post the Juice WRLD incident in Texas. That was the last time I performed in any of his bars. The guy wants to go cheap on everything including personality.

Cool place to hang out. Sometimes there's a live band. Darts, and pool, outside seating. Bartenders are friendly. There's a 10 dollar minimum for credit/debit cards, FYI.

Here was a stop for part of a benefit ride. Drinks were reasonably priced and made well. Service was awesome.

Ordered one drink. We walked out halfway through that drink when we watched the bartender smoking marijuana at the end of the bar with a patron.

I love a dive bar with great music. Everyone was friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the outside portapotty. Maybe it was temporary. I don't know. I would definitely go back.

Stopped in for a drink. They had karaoke going on. It was pretty busy and kinda fun but I think the bartender could be better at welcoming a new guest making them feel comfortable and invited. I used to batten and serve. I feel it’s very important in that line of work.

The bar isn't very large and there's limited seating so if you find a table or even a free chair I suggest you grab it immediately. Most people there are friendly, though I have witnessed some racist and homophobic comments by one or two regular patrons. The drinks are great. The bartender is friendly and attentive. If you can find a place to sit and avoid the sparse sketchy patron here and there I recommend visiting.

Nice and Trendy for a Dive Bar.😉 Seriously, it's a nice place. It's a place like Cheers in that it's like everybody knows your name, and they Still let you in. The bartenders are all the best, lovely, friendly, entertaining, and efficient! I'll probably go there tonight now that I'm thinking about it.
