Recently visited the Stephen Foster Park for the Festival of Lights with my friends from out of town and it was awesome!! The light displays, the train display, the jolly Santa Claus, the music, the crafters, the food, the staff and the many volunteers made for a wonderful and joyous festive experience!! Thank you to Everyone that works hard to make this and many great family community events happen at Stephen Foster! We appreciate you!! ❤
Festival of Lights was a fun time this year. It's our first time going and I'm glad we did! There were vendors selling food and gift items, Santa was there, the train room was a lot of fun with scavenger hunts. There was free hot chocolate, popcorn and roasting marshmallows. A great time for the whole family.
Beautiful Florida State Park honoring Stephen Foster. The ground are in excellent condition and all of the buildings of Stephen Foster were open. Multiple restrooms available. Very few people were visiting the Stephen Foster buildings. Did not visit the campground area. The park is located on the Suwanee River. There were no park workers in any of the buildings. Historical information only available from signage. Stephen Foster is the composer of many songs including "way down upon the Suwanee River. The park and buildings honor Stephen Foster who never visited Florida.
Beautiful State of Florida Park. History of the park and the Suwannee River. Wonderful State of Florida employees take care of this gem in our State.
Nice place. Couldn't stay long, will have to go back.
I visited shortly after the reopening and work was being performed to make improvements. The numerous dioramas depicted the stories from Foster's works and there was quite a collection of pianos and other memorabilia. I was unable to climb the tower, but maybe it will be open on a future visit. This area was once one of the first tourist attractions until the roadway through the area was diverted by the interstate. Admission is free with park entry fee
The whole site with beautiful, plenty of picnic tables plenty of shade the river was beautiful and the grounds were kept very nice. They did a great job having artifacts and the history of that artifact. The only disappointment was that a year ago the Bell Tower or Carilion was hit by lightning. The music that is played now didn't sound very good but that didn't take away from a truly wonderful day.
Wonderful park. Could use a little TLC. Laundry machines are outdated. Bathrooms are only OK. History is remarkable. The bell tower songs on the hour are beautiful. We were lucky enough to see the Christmas lights and no detail in the presentation were left undone. Level sites.

Deb and the staff here are wonderful. I enjoyed all the lights when you pull up along the fence by the tree and gazebo, how you can easily pull your camper in and out the fact that they have an adapter if you need it! Easy pretty cool area would sta
