Stemmerman's Inn - Hotel in Wilmington - 130 S Front St, USA

I've been a repeat visitor at Stemmerman's for going on 4 years now. I'm always astonished how this lovely inn isn't more popular than it is. Though for selfish reasons I must admit I wouldn't want my secret becoming too sought-after. Fran the innkeeper and her staff do an outstanding job keeping this Wilmington gem clean and welcoming for their guest. The mattresses, pillows, sheets, blankets, comforters and towels alone make this a 5-star inn. Definitely the thickest, comfiest and cleanest I've ever come across in my travels. Trust me when I say you will have a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The free parking space located directly across the street is another reason why I stay here. You'll typically pay $20/day at the downtown hotels plus tips for the valets unless you want to hike out to retrieve it yourself. The access you have to all of the downtown bars, restaurants and shopping is another reason to love this location. Everything is within short walking distance so you're free from having to search in vain for parking during peak season. Staying here is basically like having your own private little apartment in downtown Wilmington only without all the Airbnb type headaches. Fran treats all her guests like gold and is a wealth of information if you need restaurant or activity recommendations. Enjoy your stay! :-)

This is our favorite place to stay when we are in Wilmington! The inn is in a perfect location and the rooms are so cozy. Service is excellent and Fran is the best! They make sure that you have everything that you need and more. Perfect home away from home!

The inn is beautiful (original stained glass, are you kidding?!) and very cozy. The location is great; there are a lot of cool shops and restaurants around and we loved the second floor patio overlooking the river. Parking is included and there were no additional unexpected fees during our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. Towels, sheets, pillows, water pressure in the shower were all immaculate and requests for additional items were met very quickly. Fran is SO wonderful and helpful—she made sure we had everything we needed and even brought over leaves from her personal aloe plant for my very burnt friend. She is the reason we booked our stay here and we are so glad we did, such a genuinely friendly and awesome gal. Miss Fran if you’re reading this, thank you for everything!

We had a wonderful experience at the Inn! We reserved the rooms for our wedding weekend so we could stay here with our wedding party, and it was perfect! Each room is very inviting, clean, and cozy. Fran is amazing and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay!

We stayed at Stemmerman's Inn for a little weekend getaway. Checking in was super easy and smooth. Fran is amazing and very helpful. Our room was cute and cozy and within walking distance of all our destinations. We will definitely be using them again when we come back to Wilmington!

Don’t hesitate and book Stemmerman’s inn for your Wilmington stay! Every single part of our stay here was phenomenal- Fran is so so nice and accommodating, the suites are cute and super comfortable, and it’s an easy walk to anything downtown (including the Live Oak Bank Pavilion). We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

What a wonderfully kept historical Inn which has all of the modern conveniences that make you feel at home. The beds are comfey, the energy is calming, it’s secure, and best of all - it’s right on the best party path on the east coast. Grab your tennis shoes and explore this wonderful little town’s history while you rest in the delightful ‘Stemmermans Inn’ at night. Tell Fran. “Hi!.” She’s a wonderful hostess.

We stayed at Stemmerman's during our 5 nights in Wilmington. Fran was exceptionally friendly and the process of checking in was easy. Parking was across the street with labeled spots for Stemmerman guests. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants and shops along Front street and the riverwalk. The room was clean and spacious. We stayed in Suite 2. You do have to walk up several stairs to get to your room and then the main bedroom was up another flight of stairs.
