We absolutely loved our stay here. The historical details and antique decor really create a unique ambience. The cleaning crew is top tier - the place was immaculate. The staff was all friendly and helpful. We loved the proximity to the beach and to the wineries at Grand River Valley. Makes for an amazing weekend getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, restored mansion. The decor was amazing! The history of this place was extremely unique. Our room was comfortable and spotless. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This surely beats any hotel! We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

This is the second time we have stayed here. We love it! The character of the place is fantastic! The rooms are so cool, with so many wonderful little things to make your stay just perfect. The beds are comfortable, and the atmosphere is wonderful. But the best part is the amazing customer service. They take such amazing care of you! You can tell that they care, and they work with you and put their heart into making your stay wonderful. We have stayed twice and plan on bringing more friends to stay again. You will be happy you stayed!

We stayed in the Peacock room on the 3rd floor. The room was quiet and comfortable. We are seniors and found the bathroom to be challenging: a tub that required a 3 ft step over, grab bar that was hidden behind the shower curtain, drain in the middle of the tub to navigate the shower matte around, and no shelf to places items.| The warm breakfast was removed at 9:00; fresh fruit was only available one morning. |The staff were friendly and the historical furnishings interesting.

Randomly chose this place as a second place to lodge on our 1st wedding anniversary. SO MUCH HISTORY in this building. It was seriously like staying in a museum. We stayed in the Amelia Earhart Room, and it was awesome (can't be verified she stayed in that room, but she did stay at the mansion). My only slight gripe is, there wasn't a lot of restaurant options within walking distance, but we really didn't explore this too much either, so maybe we're wrong. Highly recommend for a nice, intimate, stress-free, relaxing stay. If you enjoy random history, this is the place for you.

This place is awesome! The beds were super comfy. Exploring the house and grounds was pleasant, staff were courteous and breakfast was good. I highly recommend it.

Our one stay at Steele Mansion was amazing. Room was perfect and the grounds are lovely. Staff is warm and helpful. After dinner we walked the grounds of the Lake Erie College. Breakfast was a nice extra and everything was quite yummy. Thanks for a great stay

Beautiful, clean facility. Beautifully appointed rooms amazing history. Our initial host, Amy, was outstanding. She was friendly personable and upgraded us to a better room that accommodated two people. Any suggestions for improvement? Perhaps? Better breakfast options, free, happy hour to guests and more personable owners welcoming guests. I would go back.
