Steamer Lane - Historical landmark in Santa Cruz - 700 W Cliff Dr, USA

Scenic overlook of the ocean with lighthouse. The overlook is above a local favorite surfing spot that attracts onlookers from all around. Finding a parking spot on a high seas day can be a challenge.

On a short trip and unfortunately didn't have my board, waves were firing. Little sketchy to get in and the peak closest to the cliff could have some consequences . Nice to watch the surf from so close above

I really want to recommend this place to people who are not even interested in surfing. Just seeing is good.

Always a gorgeous stop year-round. It's a super-local spot to surf, so it will be challenging to find a place to scoot in. Attend the surfing competition, it's alot of fun.

Every day is different at Steamer Lane. Some days there are upwards of 60 surfers out there waiting for the waves. Fascinating!

A great place to spot windsurfers. Sometimes hundred of people are in the water. The waves are really high, specially at this scenic spot. I parked in town at the very big parking area, paid 6$, and strolled along the coastpath to this rocks.
