Stayover Lodge - Motel in Charleston - 2070 McMillan Ave, USA

The rooms had holds in the walls it's not safe .years ago it was a real nice place the Navy Base was close and this place went down.. I didn't stay and I didn't take the risk of staying in the room. Word to the wise don't go there.

Exposed electrical wires in multiple places(room 127) Smoke detector on ground. Crack pipe in sink. No cover on AC. Complete fire hazard. Multiple building code violations. I was told owner would contact me. If owner does not contact me Within 48hrs I am gonna follow up with the city and report all these violations. I have pictures. Nobody should be given a dangerous room in this condition

This place need to be shut down the electricity sockets are fire Hazzard done reported this to the Federal Trade Commission .Stayover lodge do not care about the community. Can't even take a shower in room 229 the tube has corsion in it .The bath door is off the hinges and the bath room fan caught fire .They would not even give me my money back. THIS PLACE IS A Nightmare...

It all that bad , some people try to down this Stayover Lodge, but in reality this Hotel is a part of the community , The Stayover Lodge helps people get back on there feet , give people a chance to save themselves. I love the front desk clerk who help check me in , she was so polite , Renee Douglas thank you for all you did helping me check in . The maids are always making sure to keep these rooms clean , even the maintenance worker is this together. every gets

This place was horrible from the start! The front desk lady during the night shift was very rude. I feel like she put me in this crappy room on purpose. I walked in and the place had a funky musty odor. Once I walked in the bathroom, I saw the cause of it. There's a 4 foot long streak of brown mold running down the wall. Then, I noticed the entire floor was soaking wet. The bathtub faucet pours constantly,there's huge holes in the room wall, and the air conditioner is very loud. I asked for a king sized bed, but I got a double, but of course, that's the least of my worries! I asked for another room and the person at the desk told me I have to wait until someone checks out of one of the others. I don't see why since this place barely has anyone here. I paid $60 for one night and the rest of this morning and I could have gotten a cleaner, better kept room at the Siesta lodge down the road for $42! Never, ever, again will I come here!

Me and the Mrs. took a short trip to Charleston, SC for an overnight getaway. We didn't make reservations because it was a last minute decisions. Needless to say, as we looked for a room, everything was booked up. It had gotten ||late and we were exausted. Long story short, we found a spot, (the Over Night Lodge). I could not imagine worse. First, I had trouble getting the door opened because the lock was faulty but when I finally got in I was shocked. I went back to the car to ask my wife to prepare herself for what she was about to experience. ||This room was absolutely horrible - filthy wouldn't describe it. The room was dirty, musky and dated. Cleaning this room was not the problem - it needed to be rentivated. ||There was blood stains on the door frame, broken fixtures and grease and grime build up everywhere. The felt sticky and there was no ventilation. The air unit did not work. Check out the pictures because words can't describe this place.

Today 06-21-2016 it gets 1 star because I can't put zero. I checked into this hotel. Went in the room. It was the most horrible experience I have ever had. The room was disgusting. Broken and moldy AC...no wifi...pillow cases and sheets stained and yellow...roaches and bed bugs...every appliance out dated...tv was old school had to put my finger in a broken slot to turn it on. The room smelled like mold it was horrific. Lock did not work on front door. made me want to vomit...not to mention it looks pretty much like a "trap house" crack heads coming in and out. Felt worse then a tier in prison. Light fixtures broken. Old food on bed. Band aids and old trash everywhere. The bathroom was nasty... Paint peeling off walls. Look like Led. Dudes was shooting dice and smoking weed in front of my door...how good does it get... It gets worse but I already went in... Anyways I took my bag and left this crummy spot and asked for a refund which they don't do...but the lady was nice enough to give me my money because she knows this hotel is trashy asf. No body ever go here. I'm surprised they can do business under those conditions.

It was terrible. The house keepers are on drugs and they steal. They rush u out an are very unpleasant. The facilities are sketchy as hell. An they scam people's credit card numbers. Never go there. U better off sleeping outside.
