Staybridge Suites Springfield-South, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Springfield - 4231 Schooner Dr, USA

This hotel was fantastic. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. The pool is indoor and is clean and big. The beds were comfortable and so was the living area. We had plenty of pillows. I loved having a bathroom for me and my husband and a separate one for my kids. One bathroom shower was clogged which was a slight bummer but the second shower made up for it. We asked for a check in from room service for fresh towels and sheets and they didn't come until 6am the following day. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast staff made sure my son had snacks for the room. All of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend and will stay here again.

Over all very pleasant stay! Highly recommend the two bedroom suite. Although it has two burner stovetop we really could not fix a meal there, it the full size refrigerator and freezer was nice. The beds were comfortable except the pull out in the living room was usual metal in the back sleeping. We take our own pillows so not sure. What I was most impressed with is they STILL will bring your the bedding to make up the pull out and additionally requested items to your room!! The pool is small and nice unless you have a family of 6 taking over. The pool room is super hot, but the water is rather cold. We did not use the basket ball court so I am not sure if the hotel had balls to play of not. It rained for several days so we also did not use the outside area.it was clean, the doors could have used a wipe down as well as the vent in the master bath, but not bad. The breakfast however has huge issues! Mostly the employees! First day was very clean and well stocked. However, they ran out of eggs and didn’t have any other option except French toast and waffles. The next day the area seemed to be over taken by employees. The cleaning crew came in about 4 or 5 ladies and overtook the area for drinks and their conversation and comments were not very professional. The third day was the worst. The man who was working was up at the desk talking about another job at $15/hr. The milk was empty the bred station had a few slices of things thrown in the bin haphazardly and food crumbs were everywhere! We had to wipe down our own table with napkins and water from the machine because it was so sticky. The last day was ok, but again many things were out like the cranberry and OJ we had to ask for them to be refilled along with the waffle mix machine (turned out the funnel was just clogged. The bacon one day was so overdone that it just crumbled into tiny pieces, great if we had gravy or eggs to throw them over. Overall, the breakfast employees need to be looked at for retraining. Also, if food and drink are allowed to be had by the employees maybe make them come before or after the hours for paying customers!

It is not all BAD!! It is, in truth, an acceptable location for lodging. I would assign it a rating of 3.5 stars, as opposed to 5 stars. I reside in hotels for approximately nine months of the year as a result of my occupation. I must acknowledge that the hotel's sanitation has deteriorated and that there has been a significant staff turnover, despite the fact that I have previously stayed here. First and foremost, I will describe the advantageous features. • A full breakfast is served at no cost. • The pool appears to be sanitary and has a generous size. • Grill access • They do offer a room housekeeping service; however, it is important to note that the term "clean" is used loosely. • A fully furnished kitchenette that includes a full set of pots, pans, and dishes • Guests are provided with complimentary laundry facilities. Nevertheless, there are disadvantages that must be taken into account. Laziness is demonstrated by specific members of the front desk personnel. The employees, particularly, during the afternoon after the management has departed. The grill is the subject of an incident that I will recount. I inquired with the young man about the way to operate the gas grill, as it had failed to ignite. He advised me that activating the device and tapping the button would be sufficient. I informed him that the other staff members had informed me that it needed ignition with a lighter. Rather than acknowledging his fear or discomfort, he merely stated that no other guest had encountered any issues with it. I am cognizant of the complications that are associated with it, and I am certain that the hotel is also experiencing difficulties with it, as they are the ones who has provided the lighters that are used to ignite the gas grills. I believe that it is time to replace the grills that are either nonfunctional or should no longer be provided as an amenity. The rooms do not appear to be thoroughly cleansed on the designated deep cleaning days, despite the daily light cleaning. During my 30-day stay, my linens have been replaced entirely on one occasion. I am cognizant of this truth due to the fact that I have been living with a persistent blemish on my pillow for the past two weeks. Since my check-in, the screw and tissue behind the bathroom door have remained in their original positions. I am knowledgeable of the fact that they are not participating in the tasks of sweeping or mopping. Regrettably, the rooms are not adequately cleansed, which is a cause for concern, as numerous hotels are using COVID-19 as an excuse for neglecting their routine responsibilities. Assurance that the rooms are thoroughly cleaned on a weekly basis, will decrease the probability of infection transmission. FYI. Additionally, I believe that the response to a guest's inquiry should not be "everything you need is in the room," as this is not accurate, as I am inquiring. If you are unable to locate it, please inquire about the nature of the inquiry (I inquired, so it is likely that it is not present). Well, that is my experience, and it is not entirely negative; however, it could be improved with some minor adjustments.

This hotel looks nice from outside but is a bit run down. The white chandelier in the main great room shows signs of age. There was one person working the breakfast buffet which didn’t have enough food if you woke up and went by 7:30-8. Not to mention when we arrived with small children, the room we reserved with beds for all was given up to someone.

Looks nice from outside. Seems decent when entering. Hallway carpets look a little old and scroungy. I stayed for a total of four nights. Woke up after first night to ice cold water and reported that. Came back for night two to be told they didn’t get it looked at. Lady at desk did say she could move me to another room. Keys didn’t work for new room. After got the key to work, then the door knob was very finicky and hard to work. Get into second room to find the adjoining door to room next door doesn’t have a deadbolt to lock the door! Towels in both rooms has stains on them. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was decent.

Positive: The location was nice, the exterior of the hotel was nice. Negative: hide-A bed did not have sheets or a blanket, we had to go get sheets blankets weren¿t available, mattress was in very poor condition on the pullout couch, and the breakfast was very poor. People waiting in line to get food there was very little available Negative: ""

Positive: "" Negative: The price was ridiculously high. The bathroom toilet continuously was running & not fixed until last day. The t.V. in one bedroom didn't work & neither did the T.V. in the exercise room.

I do expedited delivery. I was asked to deliver two boxes full of machine parts to a customer who is staying at this hotel. I arrived late evening & I didn't want to call the customer just in case he is asleep. I walked to the front desk & gave them the name of the guest & the company he works for. I even slowly spelled the name. I was told there are no guests with that name. I called the customer & luckily the customer was still awake & he came down & received his shipment.
