Staybridge Suites Savannah Historic District, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Savannah - 301 E Bay St, USA

My sister and I traveled here for Labor Day weekend for three nights. First, the location is most ideal. It is in walking distance to anything that Savannah has to offer. We didn’t need a car but there seems to be parking on site for a fee. Second, the service was impeccable- every single person from changing front desk staff, bartender, housekeeping, and breakfast set up people were friendly, kind, and made you feel comfortable. I was blown away by the genuine kindness and hospitality by every single person. Thirdly, we were also blown away by the complimentary breakfast. I’ve never had such an incredible complimentary breakfast. They had changing hot items (sausage, biscuits and gravy, grits, egg items, etc.) as well as a variety of fruit, an oatmeal and yogurt bar, and name brand cereal. They also had plenty of different breads and pastries that we didn’t try. Not only was everything tasty but they keep the area so so clean. I was wildly impressed. All in all, everything was clean, well kept, well managed, and we would 100% stay again and recommend to anyone visiting.

Absolutely awful service! Paid for their best suite with a king bed, city view, and living room. Shortly after we checked in the AC stopped working. They couldn’t get the maintenance guy to come fix it because “he was home with his family.” They put us in a much smaller room for the night. The next day the air worked…for a few hours. Never got the maintenance guy up to fix it again after waiting hours so they moved us to a small room, twin beds, parking lot view. Nothing but issues with the desk staff being combative. Got the run around for three days about speaking to the manager. The code for the parking garage was only validated for one day instead of three. That turned into a whole debacle with getting out of the garage that took an hour to resolve after we were given incorrect information about how to get out without having to pay. I understand things break (AC), but no one appeared to care, make any effort to resolve issues, or offer to refund the difference for the room price for a 3 night stay. Instead, we just got non-answers and attitudes from the director and desk person. We’re on vacation and didn’t get what we prepaid for and the staff had an attitude like we were inconveniencing them.

I everyone there was very sweet and outgoing they made us feel very welcome. The room was nice. It could’ve been a little bit cleaner. The lobby could’ve also been a little cleaner, but overall my stay was very nice there. However, I just didn’t like having to pay for a parking garage for my rental car, I feel like that should have been included in the price not a separate price so my total for three nights was $700

Definitely in Historic District which is cool. Old hotel, which is cool. Average rooms. OVER CROWDED for the staff they had on hand. Main elevator broken which caused problems at very busy check in time. Unloading your luggage /parking is definitely an issue. We only stayed one night while passing though which was fine. I wouldn't want to stay here for a vacation.

Location is wonderful and staff were very nice. The rooms are outdated and ours smelled like wet carpet that hadn’t fully dried. I don’t get why some hotels still have carpet. It’s nasty! Our room was fairly clean but could have used some attention. The bed was pretty comfy and I liked the pillows!

Writing this review so I know where not to stay again. From a location perspective it’s great. The hotel is old and dingy. The headboard at the top had so much dust it clearly hasn’t been dusted in months. There are visible repairs that need to be completed. The hotel floor is not even. The toilet is not a bowl, it’s more like a cup. The plantation shutters are a nice look but when you open them, the windows are cloudy from not being cleaned. Just not a good stay.

Great location on Bay Street, very nice and clean, very comfortable beds, great staff. Check in was a breeze although our room wasn't ready yet so we walked Bay Street. Our room overlooked the parking lot however the room was very clean and comfortable. There was a complimentary manager's reception with beer and wine. | Very nice. Easy walk to River Street and the Historical District. This is a great place to stay. We will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago during the winter holidays, and it was an excellent experience. The hotel was well-maintained and clean throughout. My room was cleaned and tidied every day, and the bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Despite being close to downtown, the area was quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was well-equipped with necessities, and the kitchenette had everything I needed. The concierge provided exceptional service, helping me out whenever I needed it. Moreover, I enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast every day. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Savannah soon. The hotel provides a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.
