Staybridge Suites Philadelphia- Montgomeryville, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (561)
I called the day before to ask a few questions, front desk was extremely rude. That should’ve been the red flag for me, was hoping she was just having a bad day. Despite that I went ahead and booked anyways, after a 7 hour drive for my infant son’s surgery we reached the hotel earlier than we anticipated. I walked in, hoping to at least just check in, let them know we were there and then run to the store. Not only was front desk again, extremely rude asking me “what do you need” not even an hello, how are you. She told my family to leave for another hour and a half that we were not allowed to check in… okay whatever fine. She was extremely rude to every guest that was behind me, and her coworkers. Whatever, got the room key and went to the King suite… to a lot of stuff ripped up, broken, leaking … whole 9. Along with next door being loud and screaming until 2am. I brought it up to front desk and the only reply I got was “you’re an elite member, you don’t have to worry about being charged for it” and she went back to her computer. Didn’t even seemed fazed at the fact that their fridge leaked everywhere overnight. Nobody should have to worry about being charged for previous damage, member or not. So I called the 800 number , they told me a general manager was supposed to be getting ahold of me. That was 2, almost 3 days ago now. Called back twice with no returned call. For how much is being charged for room, there’s no reason why things are not being cleaned properly, fixed properly, and to have a good front desk clerk. This place is disgusting with even worse customer service. On top of it all, the whole “free appetizers and drinks” was an absolute joke, the social area was gross. Pool was closed which seems like it has been for awhile, and the patio area just had drunks there from 4pm-12am. I’ll post some of the pictures I got , maybe this will get their attention and hopefully I’ll receive a call back.
The rooms are nice but the cleaning service is lacking. The trash cans located inside were not emptied regularly. Only one washer and one dryer was working and there did not appear to be any attempt to repair or replace them. The pool was closed. For over $150 per night there are much nicer and cheaper options in the area. Not recommended to stay at this hotel due to care and staffing.
The bedding was comfortable. Room not as clean as I would like. Pool was under renovation which I knew ahead of time so didn't influence this review. Something went wrong with their kitchen so the 2 two mornings that I was there there was no hot food. A brown paper bag with a chewy grainola bar, muffin top cookies of some sort, a small orange and a bottle of water. I was recovering from mouth surgery for those two days so I couldn't eat any of that and I can't eat citrus. Hoping for eggs and yogurt. Since I was in recovery mode all I wanted was a working cable so I could lie around all day watching movies. Every time I became engrossed in a movie the cable went out sometimes just for a few times and others much longer. I used to stay here about twice a year but will not be staying here again in the future. Since hotel room prices have gone up about 40-50% since covid, I can do better elsewhere.
First, the staff is nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the property is in need of significant repairs. Our shower tub leaked constantly. There is rust and mold in the bathroom due to this. The chairs for the dining table were torn. Hopefully they can fix the place up for the future.
The service was rude and the rooms were disgusting. The mattress for the pullout was soiled and looked like a health hazard. When asked about it they said nothing they could do but provide a mattress cover. The phone didn’t work the tv didn’t work the office chair was broken the pool was closed and the kitchenette faucet smelled like death. Will never stay here again. Lastly, breakfast was small paper bags of muffins and granola bars and water. Do not stay here
Need a maintenance person, stat! Holy cow, the number of things broken or out of order started to actually become comical. Half of the exercise machines, the water dispenser, the Coke machine, the apple juice machine, nearly every single wash and dryer, and the pool... The exercise room had half the machines as shown in the pictures, and like I said half of those were broke. Every single hotel I've ever been in has water and towels in the exercise room, but not here. On the plus side, the staff is friendly (though a bit overwhelmed - obviously short of staff). And the room was clean and comfortable; we slept well.
Good hotel. Nice rooms good location and very nice employees. Breakfast not bad but does not have a lot of choices. No hot water for tea and fruits choices are limited.
Lost our business! As small business owners who send contractors out all over the country and need to provide travel accommodations, I could never recommend Staybridge Suites after our experience. My husband pre-booked and prepaid for rooms for a crew going to Philadelphia. On the day of arrival, at 4pm while the crew was mid-flight, my husband got a call from the hotel informing him that the rooms were given away because they overbooked and had no rooms for our crew of contractors upon their arrival that evening. We both spent over and hour on each of our phones trying to resolve the issue only to get transferred from one person to another who could never help. And to make matters worse we were both continually disconnected. We were told (him by the front desk and me by an associate from IHG’s customer service) that there is no guarantee even when pre-booking and pre-paying that the room would be there, but we would be refunded. Thanks for giving us our money back for rooms we didn’t use and we didn’t cancel on! The lodging situation for our contractors when they arrived at Staybridge was ultimately unresolved and we had to scramble to find lodging elsewhere. Thanks for nothing, Staybridge. IHG has lost our business!

Love this store, I love their prepped dinners. We used them for my elderly in laws and they rant and rave about how delicious the food was and it is so good for just heat and serve at home. The wegmans brand spaghetti sauce is bomb ð£ so so good. A
I had an incredible experience here! The ambiance was welcoming and relaxing, making it the perfect spot for a delightful meal. The sushi was exceptionally fresh and expertly prepared, with a wide variety of mouthwatering options to choose from!
Oh I enjoy every visit. Especially the late night book releases. I use to attend the book clubs. They were very nice as well. I liked how we sat in a circle right in "the book club area". (I don't know where that is now that they rearranged everythi
I like this gym. Although the cleaning staff is short staffed, they still have spray bottles and wipes to clean the space you're at. You just have to do it which I do mind at all. Some equipment break, and they take a bit of time for it to be fixed.
Dog Boarding staff was very friendly and accommodating. Came 2 days early to pick up my dog after 3pm and they didnât charge me for the whole day! Saved on getting him early and they deducted the 2 nights off my bill. Had him scheduled for 2 more n
