Staybridge Suites Buffalo-Amherst, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Amherst - 1290 Sweet Home Rd, USA

Location was the best. Safe walking distance to several restaurants. Although we didn't need to visit them, it was still an appreciated feature. Close driving distance to all other places we would like to visit - Trader Joe's, Galleria, Anchor Bar, Outlets and even downtown Buffalo. The food preparation was on point and very much appreciated. From the free breakfast to the social evening spread, to the free cookies at front desk. Although being regular hotel breakfast selections, I could tell the food was thoughtfully prepared and we never felt like anything was missing (condiments, napkins etc). The patio area just outside the kitchen was totally functional and nicely decorated. Our little one could enjoy outdoor time there safely. Disliked · The mattress was a little bit softer than I liked. There was also a moldy smell to the bed sheets. One of the towels did have a hair in it. I didn't think it was the hotel's fault as the hair was quite small, but still it made me feel the cleanliness could be up a touch. My little one did not like traveling in his previous trips and it made even the best hotel experiences horrible. We were worried that he might not like this one either. A lot of the things that this hotel offered became crucial to us - convenient location, accessible food, cozy environment, a full-sized kitchen in our room etc. Staybridge Suites Buffalo-Amherst delivered and we were redeemed by this experience.

First the good. The hotel was clean and the suite was spacious and the location was good. Nice area and close to shopping and restaurants. All staff that I interacted with were pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice.|And now, the not so good. There is no safe in the room and when we verified that we weren't missing seeing it, we were told there were 4 boxes available at the desk but they were in use. No hand soap in the suite. 2 bathrooms and neither had hand soap in the sink area. Only choice was dish soap from the kitchenette or pump body wash from the bottle on the shower wall and carry a handful to the sink area. No pen and paper in the room (a little thing but still missed). On the weekends, housekeeping is light only and only if requested. We were not informed of that on check-in and I did request the room be cleaned and towels replaced mid afternoon when I saw it hadn't been done and after I made the request it was completed but I expect that done without requesting at the price I paid.|Overall, for the price, I expect all normal amenities and daily housekeeping without having to request it. I will likely not return to this hotel.

I stayed here with my family for a week. Some of the furniture in the room was a little outdated and showed its age. The room was clean for the most part. The carpet did have an odor to it which the staff easily fixed with a good cleaning while we were out. The breakfast was really good and my family really enjoyed the social hours. The location was great for the things we wanted to do like going to Niagara Falls and conveniently located near 2 malls. Special shoutout to the manager Theresa and staff Linda, Erin, and Brenda. Each one made us feel welcomed and at home. Will definitely recommend and return for our next visit.

Seriously the best hotel! It has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The staff are so warm and feel like friends. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of healthy options and variety. We stayed in several different hotels on our trip around NY/east coast and this is by far the best one.

Overall, a nice overnight stay at the Staybridge Suites in Buffalo-Amherst. Rather than have us wait until our room was ready, the hotel switched us to an Accessible room. It was spacious and on the first floor, a very comfortable room with a king mattress. The shower in the Accessible room took a little getting used to, but its strong flow of hot water felt great and refreshing. The hotel's location in suburban Buffalo is close to shopping and freeways.

This was my first time staying at this location and I regret not staying here sooner. The staff here were very friendly, polite, and accommodating. The social hour the few days a week is a great plus. The food was very good as well. The rooms were clean and in decent shape. The plus to this hotel is that it is located near a variety of restaurants that are all within walking distance. They are actually all in the same parking lot. This is a huge plus if you don’t feel like driving anywhere and there is variety of different places to choose from. I look forward to my next visit here!!! I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Buffalo area!

Stayed here after an emergency left us without a home. We were here for about a month and the staff was amazing! It was a difficult time for our family and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great, loved the cookies at the front desk and they even had dog treats ready for our dogs after every walk! Room was clean, weekly cleaning was great as well! Great location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

This is a fantastic hotel. The free breakfast was the best we have ever had. There was a huge selection and delicious fresh baked pastries each morning. We were on the 6th floor in a king studio suite. The room was spacious and included a full size fridge. It was very quiet on our floor. The hotel is walking distance from restaurants and places for carry out which was super convenient. The lobby was very warm and homey, and the front desk had fresh cookies each afternoon. All of the front desk staff and breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we are in the area.
