Staunton State Park - Upper Parking Lot - State park in Conifer - Unnamed Road, USA

With this being a state park there is an admission cost however Colorado residents can add State Park access to their yearly vehicle registration. Make sure you save the paper on which the license plate decal was attached. That piece of paper is required for entry. Lots of trails for biking, hiking, and horseback riding. There are even dedicated climbing walls and routes. Several climbers were there in late September, 2023. Very dog friendly as well, and every person was well-behaved, all having their dogs on leashes.

So peaceful on a snowy Tuesday. Nice easy hiker only trail 2.3 miles round trip to frozen ponds. Bonus - Bathrooms still open. Packed snow on trails so no snowshoes required but after a fresh snow would be perfect for snowshoes or cross-country skiing.

Hiked at the IMHS 5th Annual 'Trails For Tails' fund raiser. It was a beautiful morning at a beautiful place. I'll be hiking here again lots of trails to cover.

Excellent! Beautiful area, nicely spaced out campsites and clean bathrooms... what else do you need? Our site was about 500 yards from the upper parking lot, so having a dolly to haul was key. We also hiked to the Davis Ponds which was very nice. Highly recommend!

Beautiful park. Saw several groups of mule deer with young and was very close with a dog an they did not bolt. Apparently very used to hikers and bikers and dogs walking through

So quiet and serene. Great place for all kinds of outdoor activities.

Beautiful place to hike and they take very good care of the facilities.

Arrived early afternoon and there was ample parking. Facilities were decent with several picnic tables nearby. Beautiful views along Staunton Ranch Trail
