Station Camp Greenway Hiking Trail - Hiking area in Gallatin - 2115 Long Hollow Pike, USA

We were looking for somewhere to take our dogs for a safe, easy walk on a hot Labor Day, with dog, friendly restaurants at arms reach. This section of Greenway is excellent for pets, kids, running, cycling, etc. although some stretches of it are in full sun, much of it is heavily shaded. The path follows the creek for nearly a mile before paralleling a road with minimal traffic. We turned around right at 1 mile into the walk due to the heat and our dogs, but we could’ve continued for quite a distance where the path appears to terminate at a local school. I would imagine that there are occasionally deer in the nearby fields in the late afternoons and evenings. There were lots of ducks and other water fowl, as well as tons of minnows and some larger fish visible within the water.

I visit this trail multiple times a week to enjoy the river. The path is well maintained, great for running, walking, and biking.

Was there in a weekend someone busy lots of dogs and runners. Some shaded areas by the river but otherwise it's all open. Great for families with strollers very wide paths.

Love this Greenway for a stroll, perhaps to sit on a bench overlooking the creek, walk the dogs, etc. And it's right by the historic Bowen-Campbell house!

Very nice trail. Not a super long hike, but it has a big bridge on one side depending on which way you come in. Nice creek off to the side of the pathway that isn't very deep. Overall a beautiful hike.

This is an awesome walking trail and a perfect location for having some quiet time to clear your mind or walking with your family.. Very well maintained and safe, the Station Camp Greenway Hiking Trail is a wonderful addition to the surrounding communities..

A lot of open space with little shade. Maybe more shade when things bloom, but didn't look like it would be. Water front was nice. We went about 1.5 miles from the Douglas House entrance and it started to open up more of a sidewalk than a Greenway. All in all it was a different path than we normally do, so it was a nice change.
