We arrived right after the S. Lake Tahoe fires. Ashes were still all over town but the pool was in great shape. Alot of other establishments did not bother to clean their pool. The staff was outstanding. When we asked to change rooms to a remodeled room. They were more than accommodating. Very pleasent stay. Also, very close to all the action. We would stay again.|
We stayed at Stateline Lodge in February 2005. It is under new management, an English family who have plans to renovate the place. It is a little faded and in need of a lick of paint, but I'm sure they will make it good very quickly, and it is very reasonably priced. The lodge is really convenient for the Casino's and the Ski Lift to Heavenly - both are a very short walk from the hotel. The English family are very friendly, and make both guests and pets welcome (They have a little dog of their own). We enjoyed our stay and feel like we made new friends. We are planning to come back in the Summer.|
Man this place is so good! Its near an internet cafe, a great little mexican food restaurant, and they have free laundry room for guests! If you want some typical place with robotic service and boring rooms, stay at a casino. But if you want warm people and a relaxed atmosphere, stay at a place like this. I like a motel with character. Im definitely staying here on my next trip. The front desk guys were awesome! Guys if you read this, thanks for the help!||ps Sorry we stole those towels. And sheets.||
What a dump! I too read the reviews on your site and thought this would be an okay hotel. I was wrong. It was rundown, filthy and the staff was totally inadequate. It reminded me of those seedy hotels you see on tv. The first room they gave us was already occupied by another customer. When we went in room he screamed at us wrong room. This could have been a very dangerous situation in view of the type of hotel it was. My advise to anyone wanting to stay in South Lake Tahoe don't even consider this hotel. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.|
I was in Stateline in the end of the winter with 3 friends, and I thought I was in my home! The owners are very nice, the rooms are confortable and very clean! I´m sure that next winter I´m going to Stateline Lodge again!|
I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of September 2004. The room was very old -- old sheets, old blanket, old towers etc. The first night I managed to sleep. The second night, the next door occupant left the TV on it was unbelievably noisy in my room thru the thin wall I laid awake wondering why I came to Lake Tahoe at all. The service -- well I saw the front desk person the day I checked in. The front desk was closed the rest of the time I walked by. No coffee in the morning -- the front desk was closed at 9am even though it should be open according the sign on the door.|
I made a reservation to this so called lodge via Orbitz back in May of this year for the 4th of July weekend. Two weeks before our date of arrival, Orbitz called and said the lodge had overbooked and cancelled my reservation. The EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF AT ORBITZ also stated that the owner was refusing to accommodate the displaced guests and ORBITZ itself only corrected the situation by removing the lodge off their service. Neither the lodge or ORBITZ was able to compensate me with accommodations and I was left having to pay triple the amount in a new reservation two weeks before our vacation. Needless to say, I will never look into this lodge or use ORBITZ EVER AGAIN!!||
I stayed in Stateline Lodge for two nights in Oct 04. Arrived at 10pm and need to wake up a clerk. Departed at 9am and couldn't find any clerk/management.||Credit card was incorrectly charged a second time in November. They must think that if I were senile enough they might get away with it. Very unprofessional.|
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
