Start Fresh Cafe - American restaurant in Oceanside - 1034 S Coast Hwy, USA

This is a very nice breakfast restaurant here in Oceanside. I ordered the farmers scrambled, which was very good. Also had biscuits and gravy and they were excellent. The biscuits were fluffy and quite tasty. Our food was very good. Our waitress did a superb job of keeping our coffee full and tending to all of our requests. This restaurant can certainly be recommended for a fine breakfast.

Saturday morning, Family of seven wondering where to go get a good breakfast. We rolled in to a GREAT breakfast instead. We dined outside because inside was pretty full but were seated within 5 mins of arrival and served our food within 15 mins. I was shocked to not only see the food art but the flavor of each dish and yes I tasted everyone's dish. It was beyond any other breakfast place I have been to. The french toast was awesome the kielbasa was marvelous, eggs juicy vegetables fresh. All the food just mingled on our plates and danced their way to our stomach... it was an unexpected experience coming here with the intention of just a normal breakfast.

This is my third time here and decided to have a Denver omelette with the homemade biscuit. It’s not hard to mess up an omelette so this was pretty good are the biscuits always good with jam. Place is pretty busy for breakfast so my service was OK about average. Of the many breakfast options in Oceanside, start fresh is my go to typically because the wait is not very long and they have a decent selection, prices are reasonable for the portion size.

This place is a must try, if you ever find yourself on coast highway in Oceanside then I highly recommend grabbing breakfast or lunch here. The staff is super friendly the menu has a little bit of everything. The food was really good and the portions were pretty big for the price. I would definitely go back and try out different items on the menu, be sure to get a fresh cut pie for the dessert we ended up with coconut crème pie and was it tasteful. Check it out for yourself you won’t be disappointed.

We have had breakfast several times. Without doubt the best breakfast in North County. Fun place but can be very busy. They still give great service and always make one feel comfortable.

If you are looking for fancy - This place is not for you! If you are looking for bougie, not for you at all! BUT if you are looking for a casual environment, delicious food, good size servings, and vary attentive down to earth service, Start Fresh is for you! The omelets, the French toast, the “Texas Style” and the mimosa bottle juice combo was amazing! The home fries extra well done were fantastic! The service was awesome with some down to earth employees! The only reason I didn’t put 5 stars was because they were a little short-staffed (they are still in the process of hiring that up with a number of customers). But again, if you are ready for good food, shareable portions and great service I highly recommend it!

This is a hike in the wall kind of place. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and the environment very welcoming. It's an old diner type of feel. Try the breakfast plate. Coffee is good too.

Everyone in our group agreed we would go back if we lived in the area. The food was excellent. Very local greasy spoon like!! The avocado toast on squaw bread was FABULOUS!
