Starlight Cottage - Motel in Sherman Oaks - 5450 Sepulveda Blvd, USA

I've stayed in many hotels in this area but I have never encountered such a disgusting, uncared for place to rest in. As soon as the lights came on, roaches of different sizes scattered on the floor, beds, and walls. I stepped on 6 of them before even putting my bags down and I can tell right off the bat, very little to no effort is put into keeping these rooms somewhat decent. And the more I looked, the more my skinned crawled. The roaches in the bathroom didn't hurry to cover. They took their time to scurry off, and the spider behind the door was well-fed as well. About 2 dozen mosquitos were smashed into the ceiling so I didn't bother to peek into the shower. After seeing the blood on the mattress and the dried semen on the sheets, I was surprised when I didn't see any bedbugs along the seams. What I did find were some pretty huge roaches hanging out under the metal boxsprings. Obviously, the owner and caretakers show zero TLC for their establishment. Or maybe they need to hold their guests accountable for destroying the rooms furniture and linen because this is by far the worst I've seen in a long time.

We stayed here march 27th. Worst hotel we have ever been to, we went to about 10 different hotels and this is the only place that had available rooms, and we definitely relized why. The indian lady was very rude, paid then she says she needs 5 dollars for the key and I'd get that back when we checked out. Never got it back. There was bugs crawling on the bathroom floor, didnt look like the carpets were vacuumed at all. Paid 140 dollars for a very run down place. Definitely not worth it. We paid 202 for two nights somewhere else that was very clean and much better. get this place shut down. Do NOT stay here. I would have rathered of slept in the car

This place is by far the worst motel.. the city of Los Angeles building and safety needs to get involved with the. ASAP . The rooms are disgusting , the beds are disgusting I don’t even think they bother to change them out whenever they have a new guest come in . The rooms smelled horrible like old cigarettes there was graffiti on the room doors and walls and when I walked into the bathroom there was a huge cockroach right on the mirror and when I went back to the front desk after only being checked into the room five minutes I demanded he get my money back and that I could not stay there he refused to give me my money back , he tried to give me the room next door which was even more disgusting .. not to mention how over priced the place is .. If ur reading this do not go to this motel , u can find way cheaper ones just down the street who actually give a fuh and clean their rooms

This place is really, really bad, I don’t recommend to anyone to stay in this motel. The rooms are infected with roaches 🪳, cigarettes smell. I was planning to stay all night but I left after two hours. Overall I won’t give any stars to this place

I liked this place because I stayed there with my Mother before she died. It was a nice room downstairs nicely decorated. Made her feel like her home in there. I honestly don't know if the other rooms were as nice but I always make it a point to house out of towner's there.

No stars.... the worst place EVER. Dirty and gross! Doors don't close or lock properly. No hot water. Broken TV. Bed box spring and mattress were on the floor. Holes in the walls. Dangerous neighborhood.

I just stopped by to see a friend, I have never been or seen this hotel before. Its really outdated and the room my friend was staying in is really small and dirty looking, it does have a nice T.V. with either cable or satellite with a decent amount of channels. It has a mirror on the ceiling above the bed which I thought was comical. You also can here the people walking around in the room above yours and the walls seem really thin. If u need a cheap hotel because money is tight staying a night or two wont kill you but I definitely wouldn't recommend it. They also will rent rooms out by the hour as well so you know what that means. There is a best western basically right across the street that would be a lot nicer and clean and over all way more comfortable.
