For a city park near a freeway. Is an amazing little nature gym. Gorgeous November day hiking along Eagle Creek, which is lined with magestic Sycamores and other old growth trees. The there is a steep set of stairs to access the trail, but once down the trail is an easy/moderate hike, and great for dogs or smaller kids. Trails are clearly marked and easy to follow. The park backs up to a very nice and safe neighborhood. There are spots to gain access down to the creek, there were some kids creek stomping during my visit. Will be back.

Starkey Park is a great choice if you want to hike by the river and have a slightly more rugged experience in the woods. The trails are marked well in some spots and on others like trail 2, it is easy to lose the trail and get lost. Beware of hiking after rainfall. Trail 2 was completely covered in water and you have no idea until you run into the sign that tells you to beware. It would be nice to know that before you hike all the way down the trail. All in all, I enjoyed it very much. Parking is very limited and it appears to be a slightly less traveled park. Happy hiking!!

Beautiful park to hike with dog. We saw deers, turtles and beautiful birds. The trails is long but not difficult. This will be one of our favorite park. my dogs can’t walked on the metal stairs (SP 1)but they have wood stairs on others side (SP 3).

This is a great park for a nice enjoyable hike. It has some good views, and good access to Big 4 Trail for an even longer excursion. And it's not too strenuous. Almost anyone would be able to enjoy a good hike here

I was here today. The trails are rugged, but the scenery is very nice. Good for a hike to relax your mind.

Nice long trails, mostly flat except the two main entry exit paths which are very long and steep, but traveled by good steps. When we visited in early spring 2021 many paths by the river were flooded and very muddy. If there has been lots of rain, WEAR BOOTS.

This park is beyond words! It amazes me how many pretty and breath taking parks we have in Indiana. I've been going to a new park every weekend but this one is my top fave. I love all the different trails you can take I seen snakes, frogs, turtles and even collected shells from the lake. If your looking for a pretty nature park THIS IS IT! Will be returning <3

We got married here January 2023 and returned for our anniversary earlier this month. The rooms and service are still as amazing as we remember from our wedding. However, I'm really disappointed that they no longer have you fill out your breakfast me

Great spot with award winning wines. Thankful there were dry whites and reds, which sometimes you don’t get in region. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to visit their new space soon.
