Stargazer Inn and Suites - Hotel in Monterey - 1046 Munras Ave, USA

We enjoyed our stay here mainly because of the indoor pool. We took our granddaughter to Monterey to visit the aquarium and stayed here for 2 nights. The room was large, the beds were comfortable, coffee in the room, and also a fridge and microwave. I agree with others that the walls are thin and you can hear other guests, so earplugs were a must. There was a fireplace in the room, but it didn’t work. ||The indoor pool and hot tub was great in the winter. The pool was utilized by many families and was busy between 5 and 7 each evening. Parking is close to the rooms and the Wi-Fi was good. Wasn’t particularly thrilled with the front desk - they weren’t incredibly friendly, but I only needed to meet with them once. ||The location was good and we would definitely stay here again.

Monterey isn't really know for Pool weather so the indoor pool and hottub is really nice. Front desk staff is pleasant and helpful. Second stay here. This time my room 109 was very clean but furniture showed signs of wear. One night stand was missing the handle. When I opened the drawer on the other side there was a jagged 10" by 6" hole in the bottom. Come on people this is an easy fix |Thin walls. Not motels fault but next rooms had person doing business until 1 am talking VERY LOUDLY and using speaker phone so I heard both conversations

Stayed here for two nights in the middle of the week. Went in not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. I was in an upstairs room that was cute and well kept with a nice small refrigerator and freezer combo. All amenities worked well. The hot tub was running but maybe had the chemicals a little heavy as it made froth more than bubbles but not bad otherwise. It was a quiet tucked away spot with good sleeping and little to no traffic noise. Would absolutely stay again.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Stargazer Inn over the week of Thanksgiving. The room was clean and comfortable. My only issue with this motel is that the walls are thin. So if you are sensitive to noise, this may not be the place to stay (or bring earplugs! In fairness, it's an older property and it has it's own Monterey charm. The staff at the desk were, without exception, friendly and helpful, and as a solo traveler, I felt safe in my room. It was an easy walk downtown to great coffee shops and breakfast spots and to the beach. So please keep this motel on your list!

The room was clean, and the bathroom had a fan. The location is great, less than a 20-minute walk to the coast. They have a pool, and free parking. They were very accommodating and let us have a late checkout, which we appreciated a lot. The only problem was that the walls are thin and you can hear everyone who walks by your room. Also we had a connecting room (which we were not told about), and even though the room was of course closed and locked, we could hear every conversation of the guests next door to us.

Amazingly comfortable bed and soft bed linens made up for the somewhat sterile room. Also super friendly staff and great location, walking distance to downtown. Heated, indoor pool was a huge plus since we have a child. Housekeeper was super friendly. Thank you.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable for my aching back. It was nice to be able to take a hot shower in the morning and to have the room cleaned daily. Next time I will try out the indoor pool and jacuzzi.

This is a great place to stay, clean rooms easy check in/check out, and great accommodations. I love the fact they had a heated pool and a hot tub, swimming in November is always a fun time. The microwave in the room made all the difference very helpful. Can’t wait to come back
