Reserved the studio King suite Ocean view. On the ground floor. Yes ocean view but the windows were covered over from the ocean salt that you couldn’t see clearly without opening the sliding glass door. None of the windows opened and the sliding glass door didn’t have a screen. So at night you had the option of sleeping with the sliding door closed and a dirty box fan on high or sleep with the sliding door open and anything or anyone could walk right in. So no air flowing whatsoever! To make it worse, if you had the back sliding door open, the wind from the front part of the building was comin in through the rubber that was missing from the door jam making this horrible sound. Mold around the shower. The only pro was the jetted tub. Total disappointment!

Absolutely perfect for our wedding anniversary! Dual shower heads, jetted tub with ocean view and a fireplace. Beautifully furnished, comfortable beds and pillows. Complimentary water bottles, bathrobes and the customer service was excellent! This is our second stay and we will definitely be back.

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary. Room was nice but we were put in a room that is right off the lobby behind the front desk. The couple of rooms that are there should be discounted. You can hear everyone checking in or out and the conversations of the people at the front desk. Went to turn the heat down when we went to bed but the thermostat would not go below 93. Called the front desk for assistance and she informed they'd given out their fan and I should just open my balcony door. It was an uncomfortably warm night. Editing after seeing response from hotel: We weren't asking for AC. We were asking to turn the heat down. We couldn't get the thermostat to work, which is something a guest should be able to control in their own room. Hotel staff shrugged and didn't seem to care that this was a problem. I do hope you'll investigate the thermostat in room 109 because it needs attention.

SOOOOOO upsetting. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. ||||My husband and I were there for our Anniversary during the ice storm - The hot tub was only big enough for one person comfortably and the blankets were so thin we were so cold we called the front desk for more blankets but they were never delivered. There is no food on site. A drink vending machine. No breakfast or bar or room service.. ||||We had to go down two flights of stairs to get to our room which was fine when we arrived but the next morning was HORRIBLE. When we left to go to breakfast the stairs and handle rails were completely covered in ice. We were parked in the main parking lot right by the stairs and we were there for two nights so we moved our truck to the parking garage down below so it wouldn't be so icy the next morning but then we had to go up and down more stairs to access the lot and get to our room. We stopped at the front desk and asked if there was anything they could put on the stairs or at least break the ice or anything at all they could do and they told us " sorry we don't have anything". ||||The worst of it all is I accidentally left a pair of DIAMOND EARRINGS and my favorite blanket there and when we called THE NEXT DAY AFTER LEAVING to see if they could get the items they told us "we are not sending our employees down the stairs due to ice". She told me she made a note and that when they did clean the room they would call us or we could call back and then the items could be mailed to me. I waited 3 days and called again and was told "they didn't find anything" ||||This is absolutely unacceptable, dishonest and wrong on so many levels. We will never ever go back to Starfish Manor. They are thieves and could care less about their guests. Enjoy your stay at the coast elsewhere..

I was a bit put off by some of the reviews for Starfish Manor at first, but I'm honestly pretty glad I went ahead and booked a room with them anyway, because it's a great place! We went for my fiancé's birthday and reserved a Suite room with a jacuzzi and got exactly what we asked for. Although the first room we got did smell like propane due to a broken fireplace, the front desk was extremely accommodating and quickly moved us to an identical room. We also had to cut our trip short due to concerns about the weather driving home and they ended up not charging us for the second night, which we greatly appreciated. It's also very close to an array of amenities, including a lot of awesome restaurants. All in all, we had a good time and were treated well, and I would recommend Starfish Manor to anyone looking for a simple yet charming and relaxing romantic getaway!

We rented the house at this supposedly 4 star property. The house was cold and the beds each had a sheet and a thin quilt and that's it. It was freezing and we all sleep at different temperatures so I had to go to the front desk for blankets because there were none anywhere in the house, which is not my experience with a 4 star property, especially in late November. I only got 2 blankets, one for each bed, and it still wasn't enough. The kitchen has dishes but no baking dishes and come prepared with your own salt and pepper, which we sadly did not. There's no restaurant on the property so we had to make do with our Thanksgiving dinner. They straight up leave you a note telling you how much to tip the housekeeping staff and to make sure you do the dishes and put them away before you leave. You can't just load the dishwasher and go apparently. The house isn't warm and cozy, there's no ambiance. There is a fireplace but you can only use a Durastone log so be sure to bring one of those too. I would bring my own comforter from home if I was coming back in the winter for sure. The hot tub was nice, great view, but then today we were in the tub enjoying our soak and suddenly out of nowhere appears the guy who is there to mow the lawn and do the trimming, with guests right there in the hot tub on the day after Thanksgiving! I don't blame him but come on management, have a heart and maybe suggest to your staff that they come back later if there are guests 20 feet away in the hot tub on vacation. This NOT a 4 star "resort" or not the kind that I am used to. The view is fantastic but I have stayed in 4 star resort hotels in Santa Fe for the same price and experienced luxury unlike this bland, empty house.

Recently renovated, the Starfish Manor is a quaint adults-only facility. The guestroom we stayed in, a king bed suite, was spacious with an excellent view overlooking the beach. The jacuzzi tub is situated right next to the window and spacious enough for two average adults to fit in very comfortably. The room felt very clean and it was easy to feel very relaxed. In room amenities include a gas fireplace, a safe, mini refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board, and a TV with cable TV service. Rooms do not have air conditioning. Budget friendly

For the price it was great. Just a few things that would of give it a higher star review. Cleaning. Long blonde hair on the couch, some plastic sort of thing left sitting on the counter and looks like the patched the walls and just never painted them. Not that every room is like that, but it was ours. Asked for a couple extra blankets on the first night and she would only give us one which I thought was odd. The location is right on the beach with a great view. Nicely appointed lobby :)

I had a great time with the group I went with and the museum was super chill and we had the whole place to ourselves to look around. My favorite part was playing the harp while I was there and learning more about native American culture.
