Stardust Motel - Featured Reviews (118)
Definitely the nastiest, dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed. Holes in the walls, mold in the bathroom, paper-thin walls. We drove down from Northern CA, arrived in Pomona at 3am, and just needed a place to sleep. We should just have slept in the car.
Just plain nasty. Everything was old dirty and disgusting. The tub hadn't been cleaned...there was used soap from the last person in there. I dumped a load then waited for the water at the sink to get hot so I could wash my hands...it never did. I was wondering if I should go back to the office and ask for my money back, then I turned on the TV and there was sound but no picture. So I did ask for a better room with a working TV and the man at the office said he didn't have any others. I asked for my money back and he didn't give me any trouble. He reversed the charge on my card. Then I walked away from the counter without my credit card and got in my truck. The guy came running out with bare feet in the rain to give it back to me before i pulled away. So really nice guy but the rooms are pretty gross. Not worth $70. It looks like there is two buildings to this motel so maybe the newer one accounts for all the positive reviews but the older building is yucky.
Unlike some ads and descriptions portray, the Stardust does NOT have kitchenettes. I believe all the rooms have mini fridges, but it's hit and miss if you want a microwave. It's an older property and there were some cosmetic issues (holes in the bathroom door and in the wall behind the knob). There were no usable electrical outlets on three of the four walls, which made things like using our smartphones while charging an impossibility. It was very inconvenient. Our bathroom light didn't work and the fixture leaked water from the upstairs shower the first night we were there (I recorded it on my phone, but Google won't let me post the video), but they had no more rooms with two beds and ended up switching us rooms the next day. I also found the smoke detector from the first room in the nightstand drawer with no battery in it. I asked for a discount on the first night's stay and was given $5. Better than nothing I guess. At least the clerk was friendly.
The room we stayed in our second and third nights was better (there was actually an electrical outlet behind the bed) and included a microwave. The beds were comfortable and it was pretty quiet outside both day and night. I didn't see a single bug in either room, which is always appreciated. Direct TV was awesome, but the Wi-Fi network was unusable.
Overall I guess I would stay at the Stardust Motel again if I needed to, but at $85 a night for a room with two beds, there are better places around.
Mostly run down, small box like rooms, like in a bad college dormitory. Window a/c unit sounds like a loud out of tune engine. The only lamp in room didn't work, had to use ceiling light. The TV, however, was decent, once I figured out how to use the 2 different remote controls, both of which had tape across the open back to keep the batteries in.
I've been homeless for a while now and this was the first motel that I have been to that have made me feel like I have a home. The room is nice and big and the stuff is pretty on point for the most part. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a place temporarily to stay and be safe.
I'm actually here at the hotel now sitting in bed awake due to being woken up by a rodent of some sort scratching the walls being the head board. Also not to mention the refrigerator that sounds like a diesel truck. When walking into the room the first time i almost cut my foot open from the tile broken into 6 pieces being held together by making tape. Cigarette burns everywhere (bathtub, nightstands, sink, and table) oh and lastly just some black mold around the bathroom window. Great place. I highly recommend if you into places like this but if you're like me....STAY AWAY
Been there for 6 wks, very nice, no foul odors, clean rooms, mini fridge, microwave, Big Flat screen T.V. lots of cable channels, Wi Fi, A/C, affordable!! Family run, Kool people (They have manners, everytime)Very Close to stores, Restaurants, and Freeway.
They are a small low key hotel place to stay. Rate is reasonable only if you pay on a weekly basis, place is kept up and not one bug found anywhere in or outside of the room where I have stayed. The maid service is tops, they do run a pretty tidy motel .......I was very much happy and blessed with my stay there .....
Amazing Open Welcome Environment of Openess, Inclusion, and Fun for kids! Awesome place to have a Birthday party, playdate, or join in for open play. Glenda is a winner as an amazing host and owner. Loved hosting a private facility rental for my son'
An absolutely amazing automotive museum! Many historic drag, salt and vintage rods. Walls covered with a treasure trove of memorabilia. Knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend.
Had low expectations for this place, but I was proven wrong. The Latte De Olla was a 10/10. As someone who cannot drink dairy, Iâm happy to know they have many dairy alternatives. Small coffee shop with authentic coffee.
i really liked this little museum hidden in pomona. it's the definition of a hidden gem out here. they have a pretty big parking lot and they were not busy when we visited on a saturday afternoon. they do have an upstairs portion and downstairs so ma
