Starbucks - Coffee shop in Virginia Beach - 233 Independence Blvd, USA

I had ordered from this location at 3:00 pm on 12/6/2023. My drink was absolutely amazing but I want to give a big thank you to the baristas on that shift (Brittany and Sarah) who were very kind to me after having a long day. Those two were really amazing and really brightened my day! Love this location with such great staff! Thank you🤍

I order mobile order due to the fact I have a job at attend at a current time and if I order my Starbucks 20 minutes before I would expect it to be ready before I get there no not today! I was late to work and almost lost my job the service is slow so if you have somewhere to be please don’t come here try another coffee shop or different location the bistros can’t make drink my order is always disgusting compared to the other locations they need to train the workers on how make a good drink and my food is always half frozen Apparently they can’t warm food up either warm food.

I have frequented a lot of different locations in the area but Virginia beach and independence is, by far, the most consistent location when it comes to my drink. Even with different people making it, it is always rich and delicious and if not EXACTLY, very close to exactly how i like my coffee! Appreciate y’all!

We stopped in here a couple times last week and Jessa was awesome! Our drinks were a little long and she made them perfectly each time! You can really tell she works hard while also bring there for any questions the other newer baristas had. On top of that the drinks were out so quickly. I didn’t want to take her away from making drinks too much but she was also so sweet and took some time to answer a few of my questions and had a nice chat! Thank you Jessa for being amazing!!

Ever since they renovated this store the service has been terrible. They always have 4 or 5 people on the clock. But only 1 or 2 of them seem to work. My last 2 visits have been awful. The lack of management is really bad, the "managers" just watch the employees work and often are a distraction to them actually working. They make your food quickly, then it sits on the counter for 10-15 minutes while they try and catch up on coffee orders. This store was my goto on my way to work for the last couple years, it's unfortunate that it is so poorly run now, especially since this location does not have a drive thru, it's already incontinent to park in their lot, avoid this starbucks if you're in a hurry or you just want your food and drink to be of any quality.

Right after I placed my order for 1 Cafe Americano and 1 egg white bites, a group of 3 people came in. The server fixed my coffee, but put it behind the counter and did not call my name (I assumed they were waiting for the food to heat up). They took the orders of the three people. The server did not give me my food and drink order until they had finished preparing the orders of the three people who came after me. One of the three got their drink ahead of me, and the other two got their order at the same time as me. What kind of service is that? I had already given them a tip. What a fool I was. I will never tip before being served again!

Cashier working 9/28/23 8:30am could barely bring herself to speak. Mumbled under her breath, we stood there staring at each other until I said "are you ready" and her response was "I said 'how can I help' you". She didn't want to be there, should probably not be working in service but in spot where she doesn't have to work with customers. Otherwise drinks were fine.

Great service here! Whenever I come in busy or otherwise everyone is very attentive and friendly. This Starbucks is the most consistent when it comes to marking drinks as well. The only pain point is having to make a u-turn to get there if coming from south independence.
