Starbucks - Coffee shop in Tuscaloosa - 804 Skyland Blvd, USA

The staff here was incredibly helpful! They helped me choose a non-coffee beverage by explaining the ingredients and flavor profile. I was impressed that they understood all that was in the drink. The inside was very clean and organized. Not too busy at midday. Inside also was spacious

We were passing through on a road trip ordered drinks on the mobile app and it took 30 minutes to receive them. All the while about 20 cars went through the drive through and got their drinks. My sister ended up going in and having to ask for our drinks to be made along with another lady who had been waiting a while. I spoke with the manager over the phone where I was told there was nothing she could do over the phone and I could come in to talk about it. Which we were already back on the road, so that wasn't an option. She told me I could call corporate Starbucks so I later chatted with them, they also would not refund my gift card all they said was they would make note of the incident. This really saddens me because this was a gift from one of my students and I hate to have wasted it on such a horrible experience.

I was handed a hot cup of coffee without the protector. Needless to say, it burnt my hand. I also had to put the plug into the top. These are things I thought were the norm. Apparently, I'm accustomed to wonderful service at all the other Starbucks I've visited nationwide.

Update....ordered from the app and accidentally selected wrong location. Customer service was amazing and my order was taken care of promptly, without hesitation! Good customer service! Drink was also good, I prefer this one over the other locations in Tuscaloosa.

Slowest drive thru ever. The girl with reddish pink hair taking orders was absolutely perfect & sweet but those on the inside really need to get the lead out. Edited to add, on 1/29/24 they let my egg bites sit on the counter in a pile with others which made me late for work. They weren’t even hot by the time I got them & would’ve had to wait even longer had I not stood up for myself & insisted they give me food. It honestly felt like the barista was punishing me for not tipping but if my food isn’t brought to my table & you make 12-15 an hour I don’t tip. Sick of EVERY WHERE I GO asking for a tip!

Coffee was barely warm. I an finding that Starbucks loves serving lukewarm coffee. Such a shame to spend that kind of money on a cup of coffee only to pour bathwater temperature coffee in your mouth.

Service was friendly and prompt. My spinach feta wrap was still cold in the middle. We also ordered two iced apple crisp macchiatos which didn't taste the same at all. One tasted like it didn't have the apple syrup in it at all. Quality is very inconsistent as opposed to the location on 15th st.

I personally think Starbucks has gone downhill over the past year or so. The prices go up, and the flavor and service have gone down. Today, I ordered something for myself and my daughter, and I can only guess the cashier put it in incorrectly. When they called my name, they placed down a hot coffee, and I'm sorry, but in Alabama summer, I am not drinking hot coffee! Thankfully, the lady making coffees made an iced one even though the recipe didn't say so. But, this is just yet another time of wrong orders. 😕
