Alright Starbucks, you can do so much better. As a loyal Starbucks customer and a proponent of Downtown Portland, I am sad, disappointed, and disgusted at the condition of this Starbucks - located in Portland's Living Room. I stopped in yesterday while on a walk through downtown, and I was appalled. I understand that you removed the seating and merchandise, and why you did, but it is time to reclaim our city and our living room. Can staff not at least CLEAN? This place is filthy and in very poor state of maintenance. It isn't that difficult to mop when there is no furniture or anything to move. Counters, machinery, everything needs to be scrubbed. Our community is what we make of it and you are setting a very poor example of the efforts to clean up downtown. You can do better and you need to do better, or vacate this spot in our living room and let another coffee shop, with some pride in Portland, be the welcome mat for tourists and our community. On a side note, the customer in front of me picked up his drink and asked for a cup sleeve. He was told "we're out, but I doubled the cup so you don't need one". When I picked up my drink I not only received a double cup, but also a cup sleeve. What is up with that? I am including the photos I took because it was so unbelievable I need to show you. Please, please, clean this place up as we work to reclaim Portland. I'll revisit in a week or so and I sincerely hope that I can come back to this review and edit it with a positive outcome.
Don’t work here. It’s actual hell on earth. Management doesn’t care about partners, all they care about is making money. When I worked here they consistently made us reopen the store after extreme incidents occurring on the premises. This included a man jacking off on the window inside, stabbings happening right outside, and customers throwing things at baristas. The store has been trying to unionize, but with Starbucks union busting, there is a ridiculously high turnover rate which makes this impossible. Worst job I’ve ever had. Worst management I’ve ever had. I worked for Starbucks for two and a half years and they fired me without any warnings for being 15 minutes late to a shift meeting. They fired me over a month after I was late. They didn’t talk to me at all the day I was late, in fact they told me I was “totally fine”. This company is disgusting. They don’t care about worker’s rights. Go get your coffee somewhere else.
I recently visited this Starbucks location in Downtown Portland and overall, I had a decent experience. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, I did notice that the cleaning standards at this location seemed to be lacking. As someone who values cleanliness and hygiene, this was disappointing to see. I hope that the management team takes this feedback seriously and makes a concerted effort to improve their cleaning practices. Despite this issue, I still enjoyed my visit and appreciate the friendly service. With some improvements in the cleaning standards, I would gladly return to this location in the future.
they never get my order correct. slowest starbucks in the area, no dining/seating inside. i avoid this location as often as i can and am almost always disappointed when i do choose to return.
Great view but the chairs were removed and you can’t stay there!! I don’t know why? Maybe because they don’t want people sitting there for the events in the square!!!
Gross. I asked for a cookies and cream cake pop, and they added it to the order without a problem. We wait near the counter, and I see them acting a bit suspicious out of the corner of my eye, and, lo and behold, they grab the cake pop straight from the display case. If my knowledge is correct, they might have replaced it this morning, but it's almost an hour before closing, which means it's been sitting out for hours. On top of that, I get a sense that they're hoping they can get away with it, maybe since I'm a child and I might not notice or won't realize what they did. Intuition, of course. There would be no problem if they had told me they were out of those cake pops. I would've gotten a different kind or a different item altogether. Anything but the display case item. I feel sick looking at it right now. I will be throwing this cake pop away.
I visited Starbucks located at 720 SW Broadway Pioneer Courthouse Square. Staff service is good. I was taking pictures as my intention was to write a review. Concern manager asked me with very respect tone not to take pictures. I told her this is for writing customer service review. I like the way she presented. I had my favorite Cafe Latte and they made tasty. This store located in Downtown prime area and ambience was good and worth visit once agin!
When I did go here before October the food and drinks were sub par with no seating and multiple lines. It felt like the dmv. But even now knowing what the company believes in and supports I would never go here again absolutely disgusting drinks and company.
If you go to any coffee shop in all of Portland, this has to be the one! Ryan has so much experience in coffee and it absolutely shows. He puts so much care into each cup of coffee that he makes and his latte art is phenomenal ð¥ His espresso is ab

The bright, clean, quiet environment of Capitola Coffee is inviting and open. I had the pour over, and my friend had a salted caramel cappuccino. The coffee was great, although I think my pour over was brewed a bit high, but I realize it's nit-pickin
I really enjoyed this coffee shop. I got lucky with an open comfy, brown leather chair and a delicious oat cappuccino. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich and opted to add the jalapeno salmon spread. Highly recommend that spread, it was amazing!!
