Star Castle Family Entertainment Center - Amusement center in Savannah - 550 Mall Blvd, USA

We visited the roller rink last week. I have to say I was very impressed!! I am still a beginner skater, most rinks my husband and I visit are not so great for me. I often get ran into, knocked down etc. The skaters in Savannah were awesome, respectful and kind. The entire experience from the check in through the whole session was pleasant. The music was also prettY good. I want to thank the staff at Star Castle for your warm welcome to us and the local skaters for making my visit to Georgia great! Thanks again from Indiana.

I remember visiting this establishment as a teen... I was excited to take my kids there after moving to Savannah and ended up completely disappointed. We were greeted by unsmiling, impolite individuals who spoke to everyone abruptly. The skates have seen better days. My son traded his out 3 times because the eyelets to lace up the mostly tied-together laces were either broken or broke off when we laced up. Each time we handed them back, the employee put them back on the shelf to hand to someone else and then handed us another set without saying anything to us. He skated with the last set of skates for 10 minutes before taking them off because the lace broke. Eventually, we got frustrated and gave up skating. We went to the arcade and each child received a card with credits to play games. One-third of the games were marked as "Out of Order" and some of them that weren't marked just took credits without allowing gameplay. We stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting on one of the 4 employees to help us. The one on her phone turned out to be the person working the arcade counter. After she finished her phone call and came to help, we informed her of the loss of credits from the latest game and her response was to say, "OK. Do you need anything else?" When we said we would like to trade in tickets, she acted as if we, the paying customers, were inconveniencing her. Somehow one of my children, even after reloading 3 times, had no tickets on his card. He won games with the game screen showing the tickets won, but when it was scanned there were no tickets. I asked the woman if it could be a glitch, that I knew he'd won tickets and she replied she didn't know, that there were no tickets, and she turned away. I will never step foot in this establishment again. Absolutely ridiculous. I can look past the older equipment, but the poor customer service is intolerable.

I bet parts of this establishment are really cool. The skate rink looked fun and well maintained, the laser tag also looks pretty cool. My husband and I stopped by to kill some time in the arcade. I do really love the medieval theme and decor. I just wouldn't recommend going for the arcade alone. Pretty much every game we tried to play was broken. We did find a few things to play and still had a good time, but didn't stay long. No one was rude, and again, other parts look like they are better maintained than the arcade was.

Great skating rink!! Love the castle theme! People are all friendly and there were some great skaters there!! Will definitely be back!

Our office rented the place for a day to have fun and unwind. They were great. The pizza was awesome. The laser tag was great. The skating rink was very well maintained. And the arcade had some games that were a blast from the past. The decor was also great if you're a fantasy geek!

The party host was very rude to my guests and me. From the moment I met her to the time I left the establishment she was unpleasant to deal with and had the audacity to ask if I was leaving a tip. Although the website does inform you that you’ll only have an hour in the party room, it does not specify that the time in the party room will be the time you book the party to start and that you will not be able to choose which hour you’ll spend in the party room. The host informed me in a condescending manner that I booked the party for 7 so I must be in the party room at 7, and leave immediately after my hour was up. I only saw the host a total of two times and at one point had to go looking for her. When I informed her that the kids were ready to skate. She did not bother to show me where the skates could be picked up at. She pointed to a door and said they are in there. Luckily, one of my guests had been there before and lead the other guests to the counter. Also, the environment did not feel welcoming. It felt like everyone hated their job and could care less about the guests. Now I’m not expecting everyone to be like Chik-fil-a associates but they could be a little more pleasant to deal with. All in all the place is nice, and had plenty to do, but the staff needs their attitudes adjusted.

Absolutely awesome experience! I have been wanting to visit this rink whilst traveling and am very glad I did. Stayed an extra day in Savannah to check this one off!!! Thursday night family skate... The DJ was awesome...they actually worked lighting into it for us!??!?!!...r&b chill.....excellent skaters various styles and very high level, staff right out there rocking around with everyone. I left invigorated and inspired and can't wait to come back!!

We had a horrible experience for my little sisters birthday party this past Sunday. First of all, my mom asked if she needed to bring candles or anything else to the party and the person on the phone said no, and that everything would be provided for. When we arrived, we had to ask for candles, a cake cutter and a lighter for the cake, which they said they didn’t have and had an attitude the entire time. We had to cut the cake with a spoon and weren’t able to blow out the candles. Then, the female employee in a red shirt named Tonya was so rude and unprofessional throughout the entire time and made our experience so much worse. Lastly, we stated that we would not be tipping via card and Tonya charged a $90 tip anyways. We will be calling to find out why we were wrongfully charged. Update: My mom talked to the manager over the phone and he was extremely kind and apologetic. He let us know that it was not up to the standards of star castle and that the $90 was an automatic gratuity charge. He refunded her $290 for our bad experience and assured us that this wouldn’t happen again.
