This really is a “Home from Home” place to stay. Had the pleasure of staying for two weeks recently whilst in Greenwich on family business. Stayed in downstairs room five which was superb. Plenty room, lovely decor, very comfortable, kitchenette was great, can’t fault it. Outside patio is superb for breakfast, coffee or just chilling as are the lovely gardens and pool. Staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well looked after. The Stanton is so well located for Greenwich Avenue and so many Greenwich locations all within walking distance. Enjoyed my stay so much I was sad to leave what in the end felt like family and home. I’ll be looking forward to my next stay.

Very nice place. Stayed in Room 5 which is kind of like a little studio apartment (fridge and sink but no stove) is nice and big.. Bathroom is small but good. This room has its own outside entrance, which is nice, but that means its at garden level and is under the office and lobby snd so you hear a bit of foot traffic, especially in the morning. Pool is nice. Super close to everything. The reviews mentioning rudeness but be old.. The lady who ran breakfast waa SUPER nice and attentive and accomodating. Have no qualms about the service. (either misinfo or old 🤷🏻)|

I have stayed at the Stanton House Inn three times since 2022, and I could not imagine staying anywhere else when I'm in the area. Each visit has been for family commitments that were somewhat stressful. Those are times I generally choose reticence, but the kindness of the staff feels like a sister who always knows the right things to say when you need it - so we had some very nice chats! Madison, and a newer staff member, Mariuxi are just the sweetest, most thoughtful young ladies you could ever meet. My favorite rooms are on or near the top floors and the garden room near the pool (32, 36, 38, and I think 10), but Madison showed me the new garden suite near the front of the house, and that looks lovely, too! I don't think there is a bad room, but the staff can definitely steer you towards one that suits your specific needs. I like a quiet room, and they have many choices if that's your priority. Breakfast is also a treat, presented in a lovely sun-filled dining room. It's an easy drive to the other CT and NY bedroom communities and it's also not far from the NYC airports. The shops and restaurants are fairly close - walkable if you like a decent walk. They've remodeled the rooms since my first visit, so it just gets more beautiful every time I come back. Oh - and the gardens... heavenly!

Nice location, just outside the downtown. The old converted mansion gives the authentic feel of being part of Greenwich history and was nicely decorated inside. The downstairs common areas and the room we stayed in were all very nicely refurbished. Some aspects (like the upstairs hallway) were clean and safe, but narrow and felt not to the same level of refurbishment.||The pool was great and key for our August visit.||The breakfast was fine. I really liked the unusual seasonings on the avocado toast (A+ for that). The buffet items seemed grocery store-ish (B+) and for the price of the room they ought consider at least upgrading to a local high end bakery. There were 3 servers working, but as mentioned by others, they spent most of their time in the back room and were not readily available.||The arrival is handy in that you get a key code and can arrive whenever, but that also makes for an odd un-hosted feeling to the stay. Typically inns have a chatty inn keeper who tries to make people feel welcome, but not here. That is all fine for us and maybe even preferred since we're from New England so don't expect more than a gruff hello, but I worry for the unacclimatized person from Atlanta who finds the whole thing insulting. The flip side is that it is great to be able to just arrive whenever and not have to panic that traffic on I95 is going to cause you to miss check-in.||We will return.

Had the pleasure of a two weeks stay at the Stanton Inn whilst in Greenwich on family business. What a lovely homely place to stay. Wonderfully attentive friendly staff, great location for all local restaurants shops etc, just a fantastic venue. ||Very relaxed homely atmosphere, really enjoyed my two weeks and will most certainly try and stay again next time I’m in Greenwich.

So glad to have found this haven of a B&B, as we need to make frequent visits to the area for an aging parent and hotel options are few. |Stayed 4 nights in Rm 28. Nice pool view with lots of windows, light filled and spacious. |Loved relaxing by the pool, being able to eat our carry out supper on the adjacent patio. Seemed like inn had been tastefully redecorated just yesterday- fresh paint and wallpapers, new towels, redone bathroom. Welcoming warm staff. Breakfast had enough options to get started for the day; particularly liked the Avocado Toast. |A few notes: it’s a historic structure so nothing is cookie cutter. Quirky layout. Air con in 28 was a bit noisy. The bed was extremely high off the floor so I had to make use of the stool which for some could be a problem- if so, pick a different room. |Unfortunately nothing can really be done about the traffic noise on busy Maple Ave. Pick a room facing the rear.|Overall, highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous Inn! My husband and I stayed for only one evening due to previous engagements elsewhere, but we both wished we could have stayed longer. A beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood (it was a nice cool evening, so we left the windows open and didn't hear a thing while sleeping) with a lovely garden surrounding the house. The room and bathroom were spacious, decorated lovely and felt cozy. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was tasty and accommodating to those with special requests. We definitely recommend the Stanton House Inn for a great getaway. Thanks again! T&T

Wish we could give the Inn more than 5 stars. By far, our best Inn experience ever. Communication was superb, with plenty of information supplied before we arrived and during our stay. Great staff, superb accommodations and a great pool with towels, water, snacks etc, all gratis. The breakfast was far more than usually offered by b&bs... here you have a choice of quiches, hot cereals, fruit bowls, yogurt, plus the typical array of baked goods, bagels and cereals. Lovely variety in a very nice room. Plenty of amenities, places to relax, gardens to walk in, on the grounds of the Inn. We'll be planning another trip to Greenwich just to relax at the Stanton House Inn.
