Simply the best BBQ I ever had in my life!!! NC BBQ genius you are above of all!!!! NY BBQ is doom. I'm travel from NY for business trips and so glad I found this Gems. Amazing people Amazing Service.Reasonable Price.The ribs so moist and so soft and smooth!!!!! The BBQ sauces is out of this world.House made BBQ sauce. They have 4-5 different types OMG I tried all of it. Everything taste so incredible! Highly recommend to everyone. I will definitely gonna make my trips there again more often. Thanks guys for having me!

Delicious NC pulled pork BBQ. I don't live in NC anymore and this is what I'm always looking for when I say I want BBQ. Chopped Pork, Vinegar based sauce and coleslaw, cheerwine, and affordable prices! The potato salad was out of this world, the selection of sauces were perfect. The green bean casserole needed a little salt but tasted great as well. It was so good I got a second sandwich to go.

This review is overdue. I used Uber Eats for dinner on Friday, 01-27-23. I think eastern NC has the best barbecue, but I'm always willing to try a new spot. I ordered the pork plate (cornbread; macaroni & cheese; Carolina gold), baked beans, brunswick stew, and banana pudding. I wasn't a fan of the sauce or the mac & cheese. The food was hot when delivered.

Rockstore is a tiny BBQ house in Stallings by the Matthews border. It’s pretty quaint and the smoke smell can be picked up from blocks away. The interior is tight with booths and a counter and there are a few outside tables along the front and side. The cue is solid for being pumped out of such a small space. The Pulled Pork is easily the most popular plate to get. It’s smoky, juicy and full of flavor. That said, don’t sleep on the Rib plate. While they lack the smoke of the pulled pork, they are delicious and fall off the bone. There are many of the standard sides to choose from. Our favorites are the BBQ baked beans, potato salad, red or white slaw and green bean casserole. They offer myriad sauce options so pick your favorite and go with it. Service is cool. Food comes out fast and it’s reasonably priced given the state of inflation. Parking is pretty easy unless your there at peak lunch time. It gets crowded at lunch and you may have to park along the side street. Either way, Rockstore is worth a stop if you’re passing through.

The barbecue was perfect and a good portion as well for the pricing. Has a very local feel and service was quick. Of the four sides we got 2 were just ok (white coleslaw and the banana pudding) The mac and cheese was amazing! I would probably get double portion next time. I did not get anything catered. But I have no doubt this would be a great place to cater from. The ice cream on the back of the shop is what really perfects this place tho.

I was a little disappointed. I love potato salad and just knew it would be homemade, but it wasn't. The banana pudding taste premade out the can, with whipped topping added to give it that homemade appeal. The sauces are good. The BBQ pork sandwich was good. The cornbread was the best. The atmosphere was nice. The place was clean, and the staff was polite.

Have never been let down by the quality of the food, nor service of this place. They are always friendly and glad to see customers. Prices seem to be going up, but I don't know anywhere you can escape that right now. $14 for a pulled pork plate with 2 sides and a drink.

Very good BBQ. Excellent pulled pork, chicken and beef, all had nice clean texture, tenderness and taste (tried them all). Good choice of sauces, we had four at the table we sat at.(We loved "Stallings Secret" sauce) Very atmospheric seating inside this historic 1930s building . We will be back. 🐷🍽️ Thank you owners 👍🏼❤️
