Enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep in the Antlers cabin, nestled in the Pineywoods of east Texas. After breakfast on the large deck, soaking in the lovely view and all its wildlife, we took a hike on the 1.6 mile trail that winds through the forest alongside the beautiful Bonaldo Creek, hearing only the sounds of Red-eye Vireos, Northern Cardinals, and cicadas. The Antlers cabin has a nice cozy feel, and the property in which it sits makes for a perfect getaway. 😊👍🏼
We stayed in the Antlers cabin for me and my husband's Anniversary weekend. It was the most amazing get away we've ever had and we will definitely be coming back every year in July for our Anniversary to the Antlers cabin!! We would like to try all the cabins when we can!! It was definitely quiet and peaceful and we laid on the deck at night and looked at the stars. It was just amazing!!
I stayed here, visiting my son that goes to college at SFA University worth every penny to stay here. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. They even give you an option to rent a golf cart at a very low cost. Would recommend staying here. It's a bit more than a hotel in town but ,you get a lot more for your money. support the community.
I just spent 2 lovely days at one of the cabins. Work has been very hard lately, and being here in the beautiful surroundings of the Piney Woods, having a cozy cabin to shelter and relax within, and the serenity of detachment from the world was just what I needed. It made my Thanksgiving holiday a very special one for the records. I wish I could've stayed longer. I highly recommend this beautiful place.
Everything about this place is amazing, from service to the cabins itself, we stayed at Bukshead and it did not disappoint, we will be telling all our friends/family about this place! Thank you sabrina and Mattie for all! We will for sure come back again soon 🙌
We enjoyed a beautiful weekend in the Buck's Head cabin. Talk about a peaceful get away. This was the perfect spot to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My Husband & I snuck away for a weekend & I don't think we could have found a more peaceful location to unwind. It is secluded in the woods but has everything you need. This cabin is beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was icing to the cake! We will definitely return for another stay and the Property Managers are so sweet and welcoming I definitely recommend you stay here.
My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the Doe Stowey cottage, surrounded by beautiful pine trees and far enough away from the other cabins that it's quiet. The only complaint I have is the bed was extremely stiff and hard to sleep on. We were only 5 miles from lake nachodoches, only a 20 minute drive to the Angelina national forest. And the other 3 National forests were also nearby. We had a wonderful stay very relaxing and we loved taking the golf cart on they're trails very cool, I hope they have family to pass this place down for generations to come.
My Husband and I celebrated our 7th anniversary at the Deer Haven Cabin this weekend. Simply put it was Amazing!!! This cabin is beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. Mattie is super sweet and makes the check in experience simple. If you need a place to stay you should definitely check Stag Leap out!!! We will be back to stay with them again. This was our second stay and it is definitely a place to return to.
Beautifully renovated historic hotel. Rooms have been upgraded with modern amenities. The rooms are small compared to new hotels/motels . The restaurants and bar are an attraction of their own with good food, drink and service. The pool area is refre
Came across a little gem of a BBQ spot in Nacogdochesâ¦Brendynâs BBQ. Walked up to the counter and the lady doing the meat cutting kindly gave me an overview of the menu. I already saw her make a couple of sandwiches and was impressed, she is a sk
Lots of green space to play in and a pretty nice playground that was updated a few years back. Much more to play on when we were coming over 5 years ago. Plenty of nice trails too. Also, it was nice to check out the Goodman Bridge they have placed h
Outstanding donuts, one of the best I've had in Texas. Light, flaky, wonderful flavor. Had cinnamon rolls, glazed twists, and cake donuts. Each was amazing. Staff was super nice. Got me a place for donuts in Nacadoches ð.
Love that the atmosphere is laid back and itâs not as crazy as Starbucks. (Which I always have the worst experience) The coffee is great here too! I like to drink my coffee and read a good book and study.. I have never had a bad experience and the
The coffee shop is shaped from a house, a very cool environment. There's plenty of comfortable seating, the baristas are quick and friendly, and the coffee is great.
We tried this on a Thursday "Steak Night". We didn't know you are supposed to call in advance but they were so nice and fixed my wife and I a great steak dinner anyway. We will be back.
