Up until today, I would have rated this place 4 or 5 stars. I've had a family membership for over a year. Today we tried to bring our 3 year old twins to the family pool, but it was apparently closed until 5pm. They do have this on their website but it is difficult to find. There was a lifeguard for the lap pool that was very kind (he had a red shirt and a gray mustache). However, the director of aquatics, Chelsea Hellende, held up a paper schedule and smiled and laughed at us as my children were crying. We were in our swimsuits in the pool area and she couldn't even say "Sorry for the inconvenience." The family pool is also closed all day tomorrow. It's not worth it for us to maintain membership after this experience. I told the front desk that I was canceling due to rude staff, and was not asked any follow-up questions. I wouldn't recommend that anyone with young children go here if access to the pool or considerate staff are important to you.
I enjoying working out here. There are bottlenecks waiting for equipment. Only one stair master. The steam room and sauna are excellent. The YMCA is kept clean.
The place is decent but the equipment is scarce. Women are different ages, mostly matured and have children around, so it’s not as much staring. But it’s that little equipment that causes staring because you have to wait for every machine in there between the kids and parents. Everything is window there so if you don’t like looks all day probably not the best place to be. Staff is usually slow at the desk, takes 5 minutes to check in between the flirting of staff or the lack of notice because they’re busy conversating with each.
This is the best ymca I ever been too since I was a kid. I gotta say the slides are really fun and chilling in the kitty pool is fun as well. I kinda lost my precious bracelet once in those things that were aside of the pool but never told anyone. I miss being here❤️
I have visited many YMCA’s. But when it comes to Saint Paul they really don’t have any good ones. I visited Y’s in downtown, east side and west side. They have huge place but they really need to upgrade them. On East side I was told they didn’t have barbell racks with different weights and was asked to you the generic barbel instead. They also don’t have sufficient bench’s or cardio equipments( they have like 7-8 treadmills, 1-2 stair, 2-3 elliptical). They badly lack in gym equipments. For the amount of monthly fees they charge it’s not a recommended place if you plan on using it as a gym. They do have a really nice swimming pool and two basketball courts. That’s pretty much they have to offer. Since I have been to Y’s in different cities I really expected them to have a good standards. Conclusion not worth the membership price if you want to use it as a gym! Period Update: I had submitted in request for physical assessment twice. I got two emails saying someone will be calling me soon. I haven’t heard back from them at all! It has been over two weeks since I last put in request. It just shows that they don’t care. I usually enjoy Y’s but having worst experience with Y’s in here. So reducing my rating to 1 star and i have cancelled my membership.
I'm not coming here anymore. I was literally sitting down near the walk charging my phone before my workout and the staff continually kept coming up to me harassing me and would not lay off. Then finally she made me leave the ymca after I got done doing handstand push-ups. It's not my fault that Im not a jealous freak like the new age Karen's that walk around in today's world we live in.
The staff here is friendly AND helpful (unlike most of the staff at the #ymcamidway location)! The facility is outdated and not as "comfortable" feeling as some of the other locations and the pool area is way outdated. The clientele is mostly retired seniors so there's typically never any of the reckless eyeballing from guys that I experience at other gyms. All in all it's a good place to go for a good #workout 👍🏿💪🏿 #thatsthereal #realreviews #fitnessreviews #gymlife #reviews #mpls #saintpaul #minnesota #minnesotareviews #mnreviews #thereal
Great Staff at this location across the board. Eastside makes you feel welcome and appreciated as a member. If your looking for a Membership talk to Robert he will make sure you get the best deal available.

We had my sonâs 11th birthday party at D1 and Kris and his staff did not disappoint! The kids had such a blast the entire time playing dodgeball, tug of war and football as well as racing each other pushing the sleds. They were all exhausted when
I was honestly terrified to go to my first OTF class, because I was worried being out of shape and surrounded by super fit people would intimidate me, but the staff and coaches at the Grand Ave location are nothing but friendly, helpful, and kind. Th
Have come to really love this gym. It's a smaller facility, but the equipment is wisely selected - plenty of cardio equipment and all the weight equipment you need to do some solid training.
Just overall lovely experience. Service was friendly, attentive, informative, engaging from host to server to busser to chef. The menu is small so we probably ordered 50% of it...all were unique, delicious and photo-worthy (as with the cocktails). A
I love core power yoga and the highland park location is one of my favorite. You are always greeted by a friendly face and some of them are really good with names (I noticed this after my first week, a couple of instructors remembered my name which I
Great cafe! Their coffee was delicious and the barista was very friendly and nice. It is a nice place to just sit and chat. I'll definitely come back whenever I'm in the area!
I've been attending off and on since 2010. The instructors are the reason I keep coming back. They're compassion, wisdom and skill shine through with every genuine interaction. I hope to be able to keep coming into my 60's, 70's and 80's!
As a person with Italian heritage and a dedicated pizza lover, please understand me when I say this pizza is incredible and some of the best there is! Whether you like authentic original Italian (paper thin), Chicago deep dish, Detroit style or any
Rafiki treats you as a guest, not just a customer. I was looking for a place to get out on a cold, winter day and get a Sip Scouter stamp. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was, including the lovely family that owns the place (Laur
I ordered a sausage/pepperoni, light cheese and well done. There were tons of toppings and the pizza was cooked exactly to my liking. The owner was very personable and friendly. Mamas is takeout only, I highly recommend it!
Had the pleasure of getting married here! Absolutely gorgeous setting in Saint Paul. Working with the zoo and conservatory was easy and the staff had great communication. Canât wait to continue enjoying the location for years to come!
We had a wonderful night starting with a flight of beers then downstairs for Jen & Friends. The treat at tonight's show was a 10 year anniversary of "Enchanted". They were so fun!
Family vibe, everyone is friendly and it didnât take long to figure out the coaches actually care. Coach C and coach Pops try to bring out the best in training and they make it fun for the kids. However itâs up individuals to put in the hard work
