**Pros:** The trail isn't overly crowded, providing a peaceful environment. Ideal for various outdoor activities like biking, walking, jogging, and running. People generally keep to themselves, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The paved path offers versatility, and during dry spells, you can even run in the river. A fantastic spot for dog walking (please remember to keep pets on a leash). Wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for all. **Cons:** The north side of the trail beyond Ben Maddox unfortunately hosts a significant homeless encampment, leading to concerns about drugs and crime. Lack of lighting on the trail and at the Ben Maddox parking lot, making it less safe after sundown. A major concern involves ATVs and dirt bikes racing at high speeds on the same path used by families and children. This behavior is not only irresponsible but likely illegal. A plea to the riders to slow down and prioritize safety for everyone.

A good asphalt path to walk on. The only bad thing is a person on a dirt bike, and people on an ATV were riding up and down the path. Those riders took away from the enjoyment from our walk.

Great place for runs and walks I see the sheriff officers driving through the trails a lot keeping it safe

Beautiful scenery for the most part four stars because the signage has faded to the point it can’t be read and it’s missing on this beautiful native American plant “Cephalanthus sp. or Buttonbush”. Given this beautiful trail belongs to the city, why not ensure that the watering systems are working we do live in a desert, so it’s nice to have the greenery. DRIP irrigation does not work. It clogs too easily and doesn’t wet the bed (the entire root zone of the plant). Plants won’t grow into dry soil. Using DRIP is inadequate, doesn’t make sense to only water the soil around the trunk of the tree, it will never mature properly.

It's peaceful. Depends on the time of day you go on a walk. The sunrise is just as beautiful as the sunset. When the river is filled up with water from the melted snow from the mountains. It's nice!
