St. James Catholic Cathedral - Catholic cathedral in Orlando - 215 N Orange Ave, USA

I had a delightful experience visiting this place while in Orlando. Although I did not enter the cathedral, I just admired this beautiful Romanesque-style architecture from the outside. The exquisite stained glass windows depicting Jesus Christ's life was truly captivating. There is a small parking lot as well as street parking. Highly recommended for architecture and art enthusiasts!

This sacred place invites you to participate in masses preached both in English and in Spanish. The acoustics in this place are fantastic. I said this because they have a massive musical organ that is magnificently played and gives that sense of spiritual relaxation.

This lovely cathedral was a glorious place to fulfill my Sunday obligation. The celebration was almost a concert with extremely high quality music and chorus. The priest was accompanied by a deacon, an elder priest, sister and a litany of servers. The whole mass was enjoyable, but I thought the best part was the words of wisdom imparted by the deacon during his homily focusing on the honor of Joseph. The 10 minute challenge prior to Christmas seems like an incredible way to inspire your fellow Christians and remind ourselves of the reason for the season. God bless you all!

This is such a peaceful place amid the chaos of downtown and loud noises of partying. It's maintained very well and there is an ample amount of parking available here too.

I always try to visit any the local Cathedral anytime I visit a new town. My favorite is the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. But this magnificence Cathedral is a very close second. I’ll post a few pictures, but you have to see it to really get the wonderful feeling this sanctuary will give you.

I have been seeking spiritual renewal here for many years. It's been a while since the COVID pandemic. My recent visit, I noticed definite changes: the parking meter if $.25 per 15 minutes, no more candles in a jar. Now there is a box of 2-inch triangle toppers looking candles with a $2 donation request, to be placed and lit in a red glass in front of the Blessed Mother statue. One statue was not in the smaller temple. The large sanctuary no longer has the fountain. The picture scenery in the dome has changed. Everything looks beautiful, clean and peaceful. Definitely setup for less contact. I left feeling spiritually renewed.

I debut October 15 2022 last year they were helpful,this year not so much aside from my Sponsor while he helped a few times,he didn't stay in touch with me. I had emailed this church numerous times no response s. I'm underemployed cried out to them for help financially,offering me a better job,helping me to live in a better environment,if they could pay funds so I can attend men's retreat they turned deaf ears,one time I asked for a pack of water and food,they even turned deaf ears on that. I attended events there no one ever asked let's meet out or hang out. This church always asks for tithing,donations,help the poor,women and children but deaf ears when I as a member asked for help. If shoe were on other foot I wouldn't had done that. I had converted to Catholic,but I've found another church not Catholic already has responded to my request and more helpful.
