Quaint room, well kept. Shower had a nozzle that resembled a pressure washer. Would recommend bringing your own shampoo/conditioner, the small bar of soap was shattered, but I travel with my own so wasn't a huge deal. The AC worked nicely and kept the room nice and cool. Check-in was a little odd: A small, faded white board showed hours as 8am-8pm however open sign was off. Ring the doorbell , or call # listed on it and they'll answer. The check in was quick and easy, however office reeked of cigarette smoke. Gentleman was polite and quick.

Absolutely worst experience ever. I have never not enjoyed a stay at a motel (and I’ve stayed in some sketchy places), but this is by far the worst place I have ever been to. Arrived at night due to a flight cancellation and when we tried to check in the owner started yelling at us. He slurred his words and it looked like he was drunk. He screamed at us saying we couldn’t arrive at night, and even threatened to call the cops for trespassing. There was no signage anywhere indicating what to do in case you arrive at night and how to check in. Besides that, the exterior of this place was in shambles and it looked really bad even for a cheap motel. Avoid this place at all costs. We ended up leaving and staying at a Holiday Inn 20 minutes away.

About 30 minutes away from the National Park entrance. Came across this place last minute because our reservation inside the NP got canceled. Exteriors don't paint a good impression, but thoroughly surprised and exceeded expectations. Good amenities in the rooms and baths. Also have a dollar general opposite the road.

Could have been perfect - but was a nightmare. After three weeks of travelling the western states and staying in both: in cheaper but good-value motels with 4 to 5 star google ratings as well as in luxury resorts we had an idea of what to expect in yokuts valley. But what we've got was the (only) real bad stay in +three weeks. We arrived 8:05pm and called a number written on a plate at the frontdoor of the "office". We then were greeted by a manager and a really run down office with spiderwebs and dust everywhere. The place itself smelled cheesy and a bit like alcohol. After spelling our name (common) name it took him 5 min. to find us in his "system" not only asking us several times if we are family x or y or z but also complaining about the stressful time he's experiencing. The payment (visa) was also strange: My wife had to go behind the desk to enter the pin into a card terminal which was burried literally under hundreds of older recipts. The strange behavior continued as the manager offered us a free upgrade to a room which would be "way better" with only one "deficiency" - his girlfriend had used the toilet / bathroom before. We thankfully declined and were given room number 7. Here we found a room which seemed to be transferred out of the early 80s into this millennium. The light was not working so we couldn't see much of the details but the furniture was really run down. At the entrance we had a mice-hole as well. In total: Not a place we wanted to stay longer than necessary. We found the manager outside bringing toiletpaper to other guest and waited to not blame him in front of these. We told him that we would like to move on as we had expected something different. His reaction was what made us write this comment: He tried to force us to stay in (t)his horrible place by directly stating that he will "charge" us! As if 130 dollar would bother us, we told him to do whatever he wants to as we are going to leave anyway. So we gave him the key, sat in the car and drove off - which was the third best moment of the day, right after Sequoia NP and the check-in in a nice hotel in Fresno! Long story short: Just drive by that freaky place, take the extra minutes to Fresno or another nearby town and find a good-value hotel / motel there. To the manager: If you are willing to find a customer-friendly solution (e.g. refund us nevertheless) we are happy to add that here)

Quaint little motel just outside the Sequoia national park. The rooms are a bit tight but worked for us. Bathroom had great water pressure, something larger chains somehow often lack.

Got there late afternoon. The guy in the plywood "lobby" was so stoned, he couldn't properly operate the credit card reader for my friend ("Uh, you're not gonna get a receipt, if that's ok ...") and could not figure out the change when I paid for my room in cash, $5 over the total. He kept disappearing into some anteroom, eventually handing me $20 as my change (?). Also didn't remember he'd already given both of us keys, so tried to give me a 3rd one for a different room. Said it was just "...SO chaotic because SO many people were coming in." (There are only 8 rooms, and 3 were unoccupied.) Haven't seen somebody that baked since the late 70s. My room's bathroom sink lights didn't work, and both room fixtures had bare bulbs. Lamp next to the bed had to be plugged and unplugged to use, as the little toggle was broken off. The only plus? Whoever cleans the rooms is a champ!

An original, vintage motor hotel just a few miles from the Big Stump entrance to Sequoia National Park. We called the number on the office door when we arrived and the gentleman arrived within a couple of minutes as he was just across the street. He welcomed us and provided helpful information about the area and the park. Our room, although small was clean as a pin, nicely decorated and had an updated bathroom. The bed was comfortable and although the space was limited we didn't feel cramped. The ceiling fan and small airconditioner kept the room comfortable. There is a coffee maker and flat screen TV with a full selection of channels. The WiFi works great throughout the property. The pool was great. Clean and refreshing with some floaty toys. Likewise the pool and outdoor furniture was clean and in good condition. There is an ice machine, microwave and a thoughtful selection of assorted items for guest use in a room immediately adjacent to the pool. Overall the attention to detail is evident. Everything is very clean and in good condition and a stay here will give you an authentic experience of a simpler time but with modern amenities. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and convenient little room on our way to Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Park. Bathroom was updated, rooms were very clean and A/C worked great. Had everything we needed for a short stop on our way to the mountains. Would definitely recommend.
