SpringHill Suites St. Petersburg Clearwater - Hotel in Clearwater - 3485 Ulmerton Rd, USA

My air conditioning at home wasn’t working and there was no way we were going to sleep there. Finding this hotel was such a pleasure. Easy reservation process, check in was nice and easy. Robin was absolutely AMAZING!!! She went above and beyond to help us with our stay. I can’t thank her enough! We are so happy with our stay. If anything happens again at my house where we would have to stay at a hotel locally; this is the place! 😊

I had a pleasant stay here. The desk staff were friendly and helpful, even offering a complimentary soda when I tried to pay. They even let me store my bags a few hours after checkout. The breakfast was nice with a variety of foods. The pool was heated. It's next to a Chick-fil-A. I did find it to be farther from Downtown St. Petersburg and Tropicana Field than I realized. It's a $20 Uber. No issues with my stay.

Positive: It had everything I was looking for- pool, hot breakfast, clean, friendly helpful desk staff. I was able to check in early upon arrival and was even given a complimentary beverage. I would stay here again. Negative: I would have liked a bench outside the main entrance to sit on while waiting for my ride.

The nicest people work in this hotel from the front desk to manager. They really cared about our needs and what was happening to us. Sheelia was an angel in our lives and ao was Robin. To be honest, everyone that worked there were angels in our lives! The manager found us a great urgent care for my daughter and the breakfast ladies were amazing too. There is a Chick-fil-A walking distance and many restaurants in the main road including Cracker Barrel. I ended up not taking more pictures unfortunately and never to to even see the pool.

What a horrible hotel, they have greatly lowered the quality of the Marriott hotels, before we were fans of these hotels now we will never stay in one again. The elevator didn't work, the air conditioners in the hallways didn't work either, NOT DAILY HOUSEKEEPING, the telephone in the room didn't work, pillows with no quality, the microwave was all dirty inside, as was the bathtub. Breakfast was good nothing fancy , . Horrible experience, I was not happy at all.

The worst Marriott we have been to so far. Dirty rooms and hallways, filthy bedding, halfway through the night we realized that ceiling is leaking water in the room. Very nice and polite staff, but the facility needs a new manager who knows how to do the job.

WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS. Do not ever stay here. We stayed April 6 and 7 2024 and I was disgusted at the filthy rooms. After checking in very late we found the disgusting issues when we woke up. The bathroom was the worst with black mold on the floor and tub and the toilet disgusting with black-brown filth. I went to the desk in the morning to request they refund us for the 2nd night and let us leave but assured us it was not their usual cleanliness and took us to another room. One of the beds was so old it rocked forward when we sat on it but decided to stay. When I got up the next morning to make coffee a cockroach was on the cabinet by the coffee maker. In all my travels over 50 years I've NEVER had a roach in my room. I requested a call from the GM but got an email telling me they refunded 1 night. Do not ever stay at this hotel. I wish it would let me post pictures as you would see I'm being completely honest.

This is one of the cheaper hotels in the area so want to keep that in mind (nearby TownePlace Suites is about $30/night more for example). However, this hotel is not up to Marriott standard and feels more like a cheaper brand e.g. Laquinta. Staff are not super friendly or helpful... didn't even tell me where elevator was when checking in and I had to ask. It's fine for a quick night stop and reasonably clean, but don't expect usual Marriott standard.
