SpringHill Suites Lynchburg Airport/University Area - Featured Reviews (516)
Reception staff were kind and pleasant. The room was fine for a one night-stay however, the bathroom could use an update. The floor tile moved under my feet and there appeared to be black mold in various areas in the bathroom. Tub drain did not drain while showering. Otherwise, the room was satisfactory.
We would not stay here again. I dont Understand why there are so many fantastic reviews.
The rooms have a smell and need updated badly.
Breakfast in the morning each of our days was a good selection, but we never ate it because it is located in such a tiny space and had SO MANY people everywhere.
Just don’t stay here.
Considering the busy weekend with all the students checking in to their dorms, the team there did a good job. A few minor hiccups but overall, I would recommend staying there. And might I add the breakfast was very good. Special consideration should be given to the night person who attended to a few late night items we needed in the room.
Precious was literally the best host I've met. Her service was absolutely awesome and I would recommend this hotel to anyone in Lynchburg simply because of her!
I have stayed with Marriott a lot. I enjoy Marriott hotels, their staff and have yet to visit one that I wouldn’t revisit, until today. I am an explore rate member with Marriott. I have stayed at Springhill Suites quite a few times using my MMP form over the past few months without incident. When we entered the hotel to check in we were met with Brenda Bobbitt’s cold demeanor. She didn’t ask us how we were. She said “Checking in? Last name?”. I replied “Sanchez”. She rudely said “ID”. No please or anything. The process was ok and we paid no mind to her being short with us. Not a big deal to be short with customers, even if her business card ironically proclaims she’s the “Queen of hospitality”. We finished our check in and proceeded to our car to bring all our belongings in.
We reentered the building with our belongings and we weren’t even 5 feet in the door when Brenda Bobbitt stood behind the front desk by the doors waving my MMP form aggressively in the air and angrily yelling at us about the form. Instead of politely asking if she could talk with us or ask a question about the form she decided to use a hateful loud tone that caught the attention of the other guests in the lobby. She didn’t use an ounce of any hospitality training she supposedly received in this particular instance. My fiancé and I approached the desk very confused and asked what she meant and what was wrong with our form. She kept insinuating that we knew it wasn’t the right form and spoke condescendingly towards us as if we were criminals. She said she’d be making phone calls to check our form, again insinuating our form was fake when it is not. I was confused throughout the encounter and kept trying to politely understand what she was trying to say. I’ve had no issues with my membership or MMP forms after nearly year, until today. She did not treat my finance and I with any respect or dignity. She berated us in front of her fellow employee and other guests in the lobby. My fiancé and I are registered nurses and we understand the importance of treating others with respect and compassion, this is something I’m afraid your assistant manager Brenda Bobbitt does not understand. Perhaps her hospitality is selective. I would hope that Marriott’s ethics and standards of professionalism rise above what was displayed by Brenda Bobbitt today. If this is the kind behavior that earns the title “Queen of hospitality”, then I have to question Marriotts standards of guest treatment. Truly disappointed by Marriott today.
Warm and inviting staff, clean rooms - great service! Staff truly makes you feel at home. Located near all major stores/restaurants
Positive: Staff was super friendly Negative: Room was a suite and the TV was in the middle, so it had to be turned towards whichever room you were in, so it was an awkward angle. Not a big deal, just a minor annoyance.
Was here for graduation at Liberty University. The hotel had free items for the 2024 graduates. Checkin was on time, room was clean and spacious. This hotel is next door to a Chilis, with a Sheetz down the road in case you are hungry, they also have a very small selection of items you can purchase (snacks, chips, even beer)! Great, safe location, very close to the Liberty University Campus, just take the road behind the hotel. Would def stay here again.
