SpringHill Suites Detroit Metro Airport Romulus - Hotel in Romulus - 8280 Merriman Rd, USA

Booked a one night stay the night before our flight out of DTW through Park, Sleep, Fly. The combination was a better deal than paying for just parking. When we checked in the total due was more than what Park, Sleep, Fly said. The manager was friendly and made it right. The hotel was a nice and clean. We walked across the parking lot to the Holiday Inn and ate at the resturant for dinner. We decided to park our car the night before and take the shuttle to DTW in the morning. The shuttle came every half an hour. It had to be set up with the front desk when we checked in. We will most likely stay here again.

I'll start with the positives. The check-in was easy, and the front desk gentleman was helpful. We got into the rooms at the correct time. The rooms were spacious, and the bathrooms were clean. Unfortunately the rest of the rooms were filthy. The brown sofas in both rooms were covered in a hard, crusty yellow substance. The carpet was dingy. It's the kind of floor that makes you afraid to take off your socks. We opened the sofa bed to find broken springs, a stained mattress, and crumbs from cookies and chips all over it. The breakfast attendant was possibly one of the rudest people we met in the entire state of Michigan. She is definitely not someone corporate should want as an employee. I know it's hard to get good help, but she is the kind of person that makes you never want to stay in a hotel again. As part of the Marriott brand, this hotel needs to do a lot better.

We had a fantastic stay on June 29th. we had issues with our TV and the woman at the front desk that night was so great. it was very busy in the lobby and she handled everyone with such kindness and really took the time to help. I can't remember her name it mightve been Karen, I hope her supervisor sees this review! Great stay and near all the good food, and the breakfast was great, good variety.

I had a late night travel because of weather delays. So I booked this hotel while I was flying and checked in around 3 am. Front desk host was perfect, handed me the room key as I walked in. Next morning I was planning a whirlpool visit before starting another long day. Only challenge was the whirlpool was not operational. Good stay over all.

Devon provided exceptional service during our recent stay. Despite arriving at the hotel around 10:30 pm to find a line of guests waiting to check in, he managed the situation admirably. It appeared he was the only employee on duty, and he efficiently handled the check-in process for everyone, even as more guests arrived unexpectedly due to a cancelled flight.|Despite the high volume of arrivals and the challenging circumstances, Devon maintained professionalism and kindness throughout, even resolving a conflict with a particularly impatient guest.|However, while Devon’s service was exemplary, the state of the rooms was disappointing. The cleanliness of the sinks, bathrooms, and floors was subpar, which detracted from the overall experience. This aspect of our stay fell short of expectations and needs immediate attention

Short term stay near the airport, convenient with a shuttle, room was comfortable and reasonable with most cable stations and a number of restaurants nearby. Parking was convenient and the staff was friendly. I would not recommend breakfast.

Stayed for 8 nights. Had to ask for service for 4 days straight. Room was not serviced. Understaffed at night. Checked in on Thursday. No services to the room until Tuesday and only serviced this day. Pool is extremely small. Bar was never open. We were allowed a late check out. Which helped with our flight back. But very disappointed in our stay overall. My ratings may seem weird. But the room was very nice and modern beds were comfortable and water was hot. Location was great.

What an incredible stay, way above my experience at other SpringHills. The room was great with a unique layout, and the bathrooms were super updated and bougie. The staff was the best part - they gave us a late check out and let us use their meeting room for some sales calls we needed to make before heading out. And for the record, I made a sale in there!!! Renata was the best part - that woman deserves a promotion a sparkler.
